03 Rankings

Lots of scrimmages this weekend and most teams have solidified their roster.  Since we have not had an FBR in a few weeks, I thought it might be fun to speculate about the 03 teams prior to the King Tut and Puma tournaments.  Instead of just sharing rumors, let's begin by offering some discussion about the current rankings of teams.  I will begin with some thoughts about two Sting teams who are both highly ranked and expected to be in D1.

Overrated:  Sting Gutierrez-still a strong (top 10) team but new players are not as dominant as those they lost.  Fun to watch but not sure that they will ultimately be in the top 5.  

Underrated:  Sting Hilton-new players (especially from Solar) are good additions to this solid team.  Just need time to gel with their formation.

Two solid coaches and teams. Looked outstanding

Didn't see Sting H. Sting G looks strong, new additions gelling nicely...didn't look like they skipped a beat! Outperformed Dunston '02 (top 12 '02 team) in the scrimmage.

Mustangs looked ok/tied Sting Sanchez (FBR ~#20)...if they could grab a quality keeper, they'll have a good chance to qualify.
