This thread has digressed into a steaming pile of crap. Everything that is wrong with youth soccer is represented here. Talking about someone's kid is the lowest of low and completely unacceptable. People like this leave a stain on the sport. Do everyone a favor and never post here again.

I went through and tried to delete anything referencing DDs. Please lets stop that nonsense, I don't want to have to start bannings again this early in the season!

My daughter plays on a top 10 03 team and if either one of them showed up on our squad and our coach let them join, I would bail as fast as I can because I would have to put my foot in a dads burro

I went over the edge because I felt used due to all I had done for him and his daughter in the past. It angered me. Truth is, she is the nicest, easy-going girl, you will ever meet and I never would have spent so much time with her if she wasn't.

You felt used….who do you think paid for your AFC tournament fee so you would stop the crazy crap with the coaches, but your daughter really wanted to play in the tournament (crap). Who fed and help out when rides were needed and other things? Who paid for your field usage fees at American Indoor (multiple parents, including me) to help you out for doing your skills session? Who tried to talk you off the ledge more than once as you were driving a wedge through the team. Don’t try to appear all nice now, your true colors were shown in the previous posts. I should have my head examined for thinking You were worth the effort, thinking you would commit to the season, but right the meeting was the final straw (crap).

I'm not going to go into all of that with you. It was wrong for me to attack like I did and I apologize for it. The problem is with us like the others posted. The girls are not to blame. They like each other and are both good, sweet girls. The girls just want to play and I am going to train mine as well as getting her training to get her better. There are other ways to accomplish this than NTX soccer right now, so we are going to take a break.

Again, I apologize  to you and all the posters who had to read this back and forth. I am finished with this exchange.

Before the schedules were even posted in the fall, we were told that teams that qualified top 10 play each other more often in the spring.  So looking at that, LP Barnes and Feet will likely have too far to climb with too hard a schedule.  Teams currently 18 - 20 just have too much ground to make up.  That leaves FC Dallas Red, FT Worth FC, Andro, Keegan and Fever trying to catch the top 10.

Since it should take about 7 wins to make it the 2 teams with 3 wins seem to have the best shot: FC Dallas Red and FT Worth FC

The teams with 2 wins need to win 5 of 9?  That seems a big ask since you have 3 of the top 6 teams that won 6 out of 10 in the fall.  If those top teams are "only" winning 6 of 10, how will Keegan, Fever or Andro win 5 of 9?

I know anything is possible, but I still don't see more than 2 teams from the bottom 10 cracking the top 10.  I'll say FC Dallas Red has a good chance to catch Cosmos or LP Rush (or Texans if losing a player cripples them), but those two teams will not give up their spots easily.

I think you have correctly identified LP Rush and DT as the 'most likely' teams to get caught...
And I also agree FCD Red is the team that will be doing the catching

So after this year and the 30 teams are put into their final divisions (D1,D2,D3) ... how does a team move up and down in between divisions? Do the bottom 2 automatically drop every year and the top 2 move up? How does it work after the first year?

No, two go down a division and only 1 gets promoted (the winner of the lower division) to make divisions of 9 teams. This happens until U14 when no one gets demoted. That u14 year five teams leave LHGCL D1 and they are replaced by 5 teams in D2 and so on.


U12 - 10 teams per division
U13 - 9 teams per division
U14 - 9 teams per division; no relegation just promotion of 5 teams
Eventually you get to 8 teams per division at some age.
