If the job is so hard or time consuming, quit, and let someone else do it.

Re: D2 scores?
I was hoping that FCDS could have caught Fever and the end of the year game could have meant more. I think they have had 2 disappointing losses this second half. First one being at the hands of Waco and then again yesterday. Good luck to Fever and FCDS.

Re: D2 scores?
D2 has two for sures....Fever advancing to D1 (where they are probably will be the better than at least the bottom 5 there). Waco and Cosmos will be shipped down to D3. I predict that Sting Dunston and Dynasty jump in front of FCD South with Dynasty coming in 2nd due to their remaining schedule
D1 will also probably finish as it sits now. Last game of the season will be epic once again with the two best teams squaring off. Who wins..... Who knows! Two awesome squads.

Re: D2 scores?
Congrats to Fever, looks like things are already settled in D2.
Looks like Thompson will win D3, if they don't falter this weekend, but that is unlikely. As for the byes, it's hard to tell. Andromeda will retain bye and most likely the Mustangs. All of the teams fighting for spots could win, tie, or lose to any of the other teams on any given day. It's been a good year of competition. It's really a shame that 2-3 good solid teams will have to go back and requalify.

I don't know if that is entirely true. The following was taken from LHGCL topic IV for LHGCL play
c.Teams Tied in Division Champion Points in Division III:
(1)If there is a tie in Division Champion points that will affect which team gets promoted into Division II or receives a Bye into Division III, only head-to-head competition will be used to break the tie. If two teams are tied in head-to-head competition, a playoff game will be played between the two teams to determine who has earned the right to be promoted into Division II or who has a Bye into Division III.
(2)If there is a tie in Division Champion points between three or more teams that will affect which team gets promoted into Division II or receives a Bye into Division III, the points earned in head-to-head games between all teams involved in the tie will be used to eliminate one or more teams from the tie. If teams are still tied after the head-to-head tiebreaker is applied, playoff game(s) will be played to break the ties

Since their head to head is even, it may come down to a playoff. Agree Sting Higg and FC premier is going to be a great game. Think could go either way for first.
Higg has to get by South first. south beat FCd today . I'd be surprised if Hig pulled out a win. Just MHO.

lovesoccer wrote:Let the battle between FCD Blue & D'Feet commence. They are tied in points and tied in head to head (with both winning a game against the other). FCD Blue has to at least tie Sting Brown next weekend to keep their D1 bye. If they lose there will be a shoot out between them. I say this because I don't think either team will beat Solar Red & Feet still has to play DTS too which I think will result in a loss. I might be shocked by both teams pulling a last minute Hail Mary it will sure be an interesting remaining 2 games for both. I wish them both the best of luck.
Correct me if I am wrong, which does happen time to time
From what I can read in the LHGCL rules, it appears FCD Blue would win the tie breaker and a game/shootout would not be needed.
http://girlsclassicleague.com/lhgclbylawsandrules/IVLHGCLPlayVer1203V13.pdf
Section I.4:
"End of Season Tie Breakers: If two (2) or more teams are tied in the number of
points, the tie will be
broken as follows (except as stated in 6 below):
a.Winner of head to head competition.
b.Team with most number of wins.
c.Fewest goals allowed in season games.
d.Most goals scored in season games.
e.Goal differential (goals scored all season minus goals allowed all season. Team with highest differential wins higher position in standings. Maximum of 3 goals for or against allowed per game).
f.Best record against common opponents.
g.The team with the fewest yellow and/or red cards will finish in the higher
position. NOTE: Only points accumulated in LHGCL play (regular season) will be used for this calculation.
h.Elimination game(s) if time permits. Opponents determined by random draw if more than two teams are tied for one position."
