I didn't see any of the State Cup but did see most of each of the Carey finals. Liverpool beat D'Feeters in sudden death PK's with no overtime. It was a great game, both team fought hard. Obviously after a long weekend over Mother's Day the D'Feeters were upset and Liverpool was excited.

As for the FCD/Shamrock game. It looked fairly even almost all game. FCD first goal was a beautiful shot away from the GK. Shamrock looked strong for those that have 'hated' on them for PPL DIII when trying to recruit. FCD Black was still strong but it appeared to either be tired from all the hot games or from a long Fall/Spring season.

Speaking of tired, FCD Blue looked tired after a long weekend of playing nothing but 01 teams. It appeared they ran out of gas, losing to a Liverpool 01 team in the Finals. But congrats for them making it to the Finals while playing up.

Kudos to Dynasty for winning the Cowtown and FCD South for being a finalist.

Does anyone have any insight on the Solar Red / FCD Prem game? Or the FCD South / Dynasty game. Didn't get to watch either. I ended up in Lewisville watching my BB

I don't have any "insight" on the Solar Red games but was at the DSC/FCD South game. Of course this is only one perspective and if you ask the other team they might have another view, but.....

1st half had opportunities for both teams with Dynasty missing a couple chances infront of FCD's goal and FCD missing just as many infront of Dynasty's goal. FCD should of been up 1-0 at half but Dynasty's keeper stopped a PK on a hand ball in the box.

2nd half Dynasty owned the run of play with FCD countering when they could. The wind made it hard for FCD to get forward. Dynasty was able to get 2 in the 2nd half (albeit one was a cross into the box that snuck in) and the second was a hustle play from the striker

Either way, each time these two teams play each other it is a hard fought game. Kuddos to both teams to getting to the final

Also congrats to LP Owen & Sting North for making it to the semis and giving both Dynasty & FCD South hard fought games.

I am sure FCD South was tried by the time they matched Dynasty in the finals. They had to go to OT against Sting North in the semi's. That was a game to watch as wind played a huge role in the game. Sting North actually had more chance on goal (2 hit off cross bar and popped back out) during regulation play then FCD South did. OT was a different story for FCD.

I will say still no matter when I listen to certain parents on FCD South sidelines they are some of the rudest parents I have seen. Making comments like "They (meaning Sting North) didn't have that many black girls." Plus to make these comments right behind our parent sideline. Or going prying for information about our team. Well if you interested in making a change go talk to our manager not our parents.

Maybe I need sensitivity training but what is rude about noticing that your team has guest players and asking about your team?  Or are you trying to say we are being racist by stating the above?  
 
It seems that everytime we play your team we hurt your feelings so once again I apologize if anything that was said was taken the wrong way.

No not every time we play you do we have an issue. Actually thought your parents were very civil and nice when we played this spring.

I never said the comment was racist but it was rude especially when he asked at least 6 of our parents the same question and then had the same above response to another FCD parent when he didn't get an answer from our side line. My question does it really matter if we were using guest players? That should be a given when you play in a tournament. It's that time of year where girls are looking for a new team. Tournaments are a great tool for coaches to assess the player in a game situation and to see if she is a good fit. I can't speak for all coaches but I know our coach will only use guest players if he feels they are a top candidate to make our final July 1 roster. We are not out to bring ringers to just win us a tournament.

What you saw this past weekend is most likely pretty close to what you will see come start of fall season for our team.

Actually it was LP Heighway, not Owen, who made the semis.

I am sorry you are correct it was Heighway and I caught part of one of Heighway's Saturday games. Looks like a strong group that did great this weekend. They kept Dynasty on their toes.
