Shawnee Trail Shootout Observations

Congrats to Celtic SC 02G McCallum for winning the 02 competitive bracket today. They beat FC Dallas WTX Holder in the final 2-1, and played an amazing semi-final match against Andromeda 02G Blue that went to 2 overtimes and finished 4-3 for Celtic on PK's. A special shout out to the Celtic parents for applauding and yelling great job to the Andromeda girls at the end of the match when they came to the sideline to thank the parents. Very rare in NTX soccer to see class like that,so worth noting when it is done.

Shameless self promotion / congratulations: Nice to see a PPL team do so well this weekend & last, having beat the 3rd place LHGCL #3 team and drawn with the LHGCL #6 that won the Carey Invitational last weekend, and played to PK's with a LHGCL D2 team that won the Shawnee this weekend. This team is coming together at the right time with an eye towards qualifying for LHGCL D3 this summer, so if you are looking for a positive, welcoming & no yelling from the coach environment for your DD focused on possession soccer, see our post in the 02 players wanted section.

Congrats to Celtic. It was a good final. We had our chances but didn't convert while they finished when they needed too.
