Who is Don McElwee?

Anyone have the scoop on the new D'Feeters 02 Coach?

He is the coach of a 97 ecnl as well..maybe that group of parents have better Intel.

Don McElwee has been coaching for close to 20 years, first in Georgia, then to Dallas with Sting and now Feet. He wants each player to be the best she can be and he focuses on utilizing their strengths and managing their weaknesses. He took the 97 Feet team over mid U-14 and they were in 7th place in LHGCL. Since then, every year in ECNL, they have finished in the top 18 and last year, they went the ECNL National Finals after winning all three games at the national playoffs in Houston. He will be the Feet 02 ECNL coach. If you are interested in talking to him and would like your daughter to train with him, PM me.

  This sounds like a campaign ad....The ECNL numbers are a little misleading.    Last year the playoffs were in Colorado not Houston  .  Each team advanced based on conference and overall league placement. Top 18 team, not quite, maybe the club but not the team. The top 32 teams in the league advance to the Champions League, the majority of the bottom half advance to the North American League playoffs which is where this team played last year.  They advanced to the NAL Finals not the Champions League Finals which is the true Championship for the League.  

It appears that they will possibly advance this year to the Champions League playoff group after a good year in the Texas Conference.  They were able to add talent to the team which has helped them overall.

ImSoDone...do you have any experience with this coach? Any insight that you can share with some of us who are possibly thinking about taking their DD to this team?

Yes but I don't wish to comment on my experience. Everyone has to decide for themselves if a Coach is right for their DD. It's all about the right fit no matter where your child plays.
