PPL--No QT this year?

I was told that PPL was not have an 02 QT this year and that the divisions were set. Does anyone know if this is true. I can't imagine with the 5 regulated teams from LH that they would dump them in PPL 4 without a tournament. Anyone know?

Division 1 and 2 are set, byes were offed to the top 20 teams. However there will be a placement tournament for division 3 and 4. Plano will be broken down into divisions of 10 for 1-3 and everyone else in 4 so to speak.

If a team does not return to the PPL or does not maintain n+1 in the top 20 then spot 21 will get a bye and so on.

Did the PPL rules change?  Right now it states if a D1 PPL team goes to LH/Classic that PPL D1 will accept a LH team into D1 in their place.  Of course this is all provided the team has N+1.  Funny how Plano requires N+1 to keep bye but LH allows clubs to keep bye regardless of how many players stay with team.

This sounds reasonable. But just to be sure..... if 2 teams from PPL1 move up to LH D3 then 2 spots will open in PPL1. Will those 2 spots be given to the 2 teams regulated down or to the next 2 teams that played D2 last year--not the 2 already promoted up but spot 13 and 14 in PPL 2. It would the same for PPL3 as everything rolls down as then spots in PPL2 would open. Doesn't seem like the spots should go to those who were regulated from PPL 1 to PPL2 or 2 to 3 as they already had the opportunity. And I agree with n+1. LH doesn't have everything right. N+1 just ensures same team has the spot otherwise you quality.

Also just because a returning team finished towrd top of PPL3 say pposition 3-4-5 last year they would still need to re-qualify?

Great questions all...I am just relaying what I was told I am not speaking for PYSA. I know that the league will have some field issues this year with High Point being shut down and american football moving to Carpenter. I will see if i can unmuddy the waters.

Old Shepperd has room for 3 or 4 fields and they have played there before.. And the two fields over near the dog park off of Legacy... That would make up for High Point, but I don't know how they would make up for Carpenter.. Guesses??

And I also heard LHGCL will not be back to Railroad next year.. Anyone heard that as well?

U13 Girls... U14 - Fall 2014
40 teams,10,10,10, 10
Top 8 teams in Div 1 will receive a Bye.
Top 2 teams from Div 2 will be promoted to Div 1 and will receive a Bye.
Div 1 = 10 teams
Bottom 2 teams from Div 1 will be relegated to Div 2 and will receive a Bye Teams finishing in 3rd thru 8th place will received a Bye
The top 2 teams from Div 3 will be promoted to Div 2 and will receive a Bye. Div 2 = 10 teams
The bottom 2 teams in Div 2 will be relegated.
All remaining teams will play in the PT to determine Divisions.
Any vacant spots will be assigned at the discretion of the VP of Competitive. 


Looked up guidelines and here is a copy from the Plano website.  Looks like league will decide on who gets the byes and based on this, those without a bye in D1 or D2 will have to play in PT tournament.  I also didn't copy this, but N+1 has to be maintained to keep bye.

I noticed tiny print at the bottom of rules saying that the committee can put any team anywhere and they at the discretion of the committee. All powerful

Obvious question: Who is in the D1 and D2 bye spots?

PPL2 up to 1 is FCD East and Dallas Texans Red--HOWEVER--DT Red is now LH 3 taking over for the othe DT Team that was in LH 3--no qualifying

PPL2 to PPL3 is LP Alonzo (are they still a team?) and FCD East
PPL3 to PPL2 to is FCD Red and Rush/Cinza

and I heard LP Hanson is now DT but not n+1

So the question is this...  How many teams blow up?  How many will make LH D3?  I bet on Andro West as one that makes D3.  It will be interesting to see how the dust settles after silly season and LH QT to see what PYSA does for D1 and D2.  

I'm getting a headache..   I bet Mutiny makes it also. They are pretty strong but "everybody" says they are going to try out if you read the teams looking section. Should be Kosmos who moves up not a team that was regulated down. Which changes 2 and 3. But for some reason they didn't ask me. Odyssey and Shamrock tied PPL3 but the GD made the standings. Haven't seen Odyssey recently but Shamrock has been doing really well in tournaments.

It will be interesting to see what happens. They might do like last year and have QT for open spots in 2,3,4 and see who makes it.
