What if your team doesn't make

What if your team does not have 14 players and you have already signed? If your team doesn't make, are you released back in the general population pool and can you go to another team. ( if that team still has open spots). If you made a down payment, if that refunded?

Tough call...miminum to make for LHGCL is 14. minimum for PPL is 12...so if you have 12, the team technically "made". But without 14, you can't enter the LHGCL qualifier. Sounds like you need to have a heart-to-heart with the coach...you might be stuck.

This could be a situation where a player named Casper gets scholarshipped so as to have enough for the LH QT.

Worried. Would NT allow for a release after July 6th if there are no girls?

How many players do you currently have on the roster for this year?
Also, what league are they looking to play in?

10-11. We have LH dreams and have all played on top FBR teams. I think we are in the same position as 20 other teams

I believe this was discussed on the 04 forum a few weeks back. Your team approaching select and you have 10-12 players you should be having a plan "B" & "C".

Maybe if you post the team name, others maybe interested in joining your team that are still looking. Help your dd's team out

Ouch...I got nothin' for ya...LH is out at this point...there is really no way that you can find 5 LH quality girls at this short notice unless another team like you mentioned blows up. PPL might be possible with a warm body or two, but as stated before - you need at least 14 for LH....and if you end up grabbing 5 warm bodies, you probably won't qualify for LH anyway.

Most LH-bound teams are looking for 1, maybe 2 at this point...once those are gone...well... It really depends on what you and the other parents want. Do you want to keep the core together at all costs? Then stay put and play PPL if you have to. If LH is the objective, you may have to scatter to the wind. Time for a serious parent meeting, then a discussion with the coach depending on the outcome of the parent meeting.

The contract is really with the club.  If the team folds, it is possible the club will help you find another of their teams (if there is room on those teams).  I would suggest a conversation with the DOC since there are some coaches telling their teams to just sign and they will find more players whether that is feasible or not!

How big is your club and at what level is your daughter... Honestly? If you have a group of girls who have consistently played at the higher level and competed, but your club can't fill the roster and your club has one team; then I would take the core and back fill another 11 player team. Apparently there are several out there, fever, FC Dallas, kicks... Several. If your club can't fill your team and stuck you with a $thousand down payment..... Run to a club with 3-4 open spots and ask for help. There are several clubs who would welcome you.

The deadline to sign up for the LH QT is tomorrow at 5 p.m. Registration requires a minimum of 14 players on your roster. Looks like it is decision time for those teams with too few players.

We haven't signed. Where are you located?

If your team is not shaping up like you anticipated, give us a call. We have our last few spots between both of our '04 girls teams. The Black team will be playing in the LHGCL Qualifier, and our White team will be playing in PPL.
