PPL 1,2,3 and 4

Does anyone know if they will be posting teams that have a bye into PPl1 and PPL2 that have n+1? Also what will they do with the LH teams that didn't requalify? Will they put them in PPL1 as there are openings there?

Regarding BYE’s those will be reviewed once registration ends.

Does anyone know their timeline for posting who has byes in PPL1 and PPL2? Interesting to see who has n+1 and retained their byes. I am guessing next week for QT schedule. Brackets for that will be interesting. Does it go strictly on point total? As SF mentioned, it will be interesting to see what they do with LH teams that did not make it back in.

For my boys, they didn't post it until they set brackets...They just told us how many spots were open in the different divisions. They had to go back and check N+1 AFTER all the registrations...which opened up more spots.

Our brackets went by point totals, and I don't think there were ties that had to be broken, but it was in the PPT rules from what I remember. The tournament was efficient and well run, and within a week after the results, we were notified about the fall divisions. Gina and that crew is buried with the Labor Day tournament, but they were very easy to talk to when I went in.

For the LH teams that didn't make it in... you only have four, which I think only the LP teams are around: Dalglish and Owen.  Are they "n+1"?

Mutiny
FC Divas
Texas Thunder
Dallas Rush Azul
Solar Gold (are they Royal now?)

Then how does it work?  HPSA Scots and Andro Blue were suppose to be relegated, right?  Dallas Texans Red and FC Dallas East Red to be promoted, but then DT took Waco's D3 LH spot.  So would Kosmos be promoted or keep HPSA in?

I think both LP teams in PPL D2 are no longer as well, although I thought I heard rumors one turned into a Dallas Texans team.

In addition to that....LP Alonzo (still around?) and Sting Cuevas are sent to PPL3 and FCD Red and Dallas Rush Cinza promoted into PPL2.

My guess is any teams from LH-- -if n+1 will be put in PPL1. I don't think Owen is n+1 and Daglish lost quite a few also I heard. Then promoted into PPL 1 would highest finishers in PPL 2 to complete.

Then in PPL2 those left plus 2 promoted from PPL3 ( FCD Red and Rush Cinza) and two dropped from PPL1 (Andro Blue and HPSA) if n+1. If space left would be filled like last year from QT-guessing

A little confusing   

Daglish still has 12 of the original girls it started with at U11 I believe. They lost two from last year's team and added 4 more this season.

How will they handle Liverpool Keegan? I think they should have a chance at one of those D1 spots.

It doesn't appear they are playing APL this year based on the team list for Arlington.

I think everyone is still waiting to hear back on how PPL will handle the BYES

My opinion, that no one has asked for-  , is that teams who played LH last year should be put in PPL1 if they are n+1. Should be room. Anyone else who did not get an automatic bye due to last yr play (up or down) should be playing in QT. To many team changes to "assume" team is same even with n+1 - 2 player change can make a difference.

I agree w above, OR at least if a team down in ppl3 that WOULD have been elevated to ppl2 BUT FOR placing ex lhgcl in ppl1, then there should be a limited QT for those ppl3 teams and mAybe the lower half finishers of ppl2.

(So n+1 ppl3 teams at top dont get shaft)

I heard Texas Thunder lost 8 girls this season.

Qualify for what?

To register go to PYSA.com then competitive. They will have names to call. Its past the deadline but I would call anyway it's not always hard and fast. Good Luck!

Will be nice to see how they laid out Div 1 and 2... Any chance that list will be up?

I looked at the tournament. What happened to the teams from last year in PPL 3 like Odyssey and LP Scott (Shamrock), Spirit? Did they all get moved up to PPL2? It WOULD be interesting to see PPL 1 and 2. Anyone know where we can find it?

Looks like there are 14 teams or so in this QT. I think there are more than that joining or returning to PPL 3 & 4. Maybe QT is made up of new teams and ones that did not have N+1.

So that the QT is to determine the remainder of the slots for PPL3 and not the entire 10.

Anchor Dad:  LP Scott (formally Shamrock United) is in D2.  We are playing in the Summer Splash this weekend.  

When the QT is over this weekend, that will settle D3 and D4.  14 teams in QT - but several others chose not to go to QT and get slotted in lowest division.

Not sure if/when the divisions will be "posted" - other than when the schedules come out.  Season is right around the corner, so it will be really soon.  I would think the soonest would be after the Labor Day Tourney as Plano is out straight with all the teams in this year - and last year was the biggest yet.  Should be another great tourney from Plano.

Hopefully PPL will announce D1-D4 after the Placement Games are all over, especially since they have the Labor Day tournament the following weekend and will want the season to start shortly after that. They are definitely staying busy these next few weeks.

Have you already been notified that your Bye was accepted by the league, or did you just apply for it based on the criteria and are waiting like everyone else?

Got an email from the league within a week after the boys tournament...took perhaps 4-5 days.
