Anyone want to start predictions???? U13

I will give it my best shot for D1 & D2. I'm not predicting scores as I don't know enough about some of the teams yet:

Andromeda Blue < Solar Royal (Toughest game to pick)
Andromeda West > Texas Thunder

I saw most of these teams this weekend. Should be interesting

anchor dad- Owen may or may not beat Scott 4-0, but Scott was the only team to beat OK Cosmos last weekend (2-0) before Cosmos lost to Dalglish in Finals in overtime. Cosmos beat Owen 1-0 I think. I think the score may be a little closer than your prediction... I say Owen 2 Scott 1.

Also think the Saints will do a lot better against Red (I say they win 2-1)- these Saints have some firepower they were lacking previously.

While we're at it, I'll disagree with your Express result (Express wins by 1) and Spirit (I'll say a tie)

You may be right specially with owen and Scott. I think Owen will win but probably not 4-0. It will be interesting. I saw allot of teams last weekend so just going by how they looked. However, I know that some teams had strong guest players like Scott. As for Express and Celtic, I was surprised at Celtic this weekend which is why I picked them. I have never seen express.

Anchor Dad - FYI, LP Scott had 1 guest player, and she hadn't played a game since April, nor trained other than the week before - and just got back from surgery.  She was and is not signed to us or anyone else, but wanted to play with her friends, so we were happy to have her play this past weekend as she is a great kid - just like your (g)dd.  We wish you and your family the best of luck this year with DR Cinza. 4-0 seems a bit bitter - but Owen is a great team.  We have and will continue to wish M the best.

Frankly I don't know who you think I am and/or who you are talking about. I was just commenting on what I saw and making a prediction.

Just curious, if you selected a tie and someone won -- that would be marked as a loss. And ditto, if you selected a win or loss and they tied; correct?

Not sure there's going to be enough of us hardcore posters to matter, but this would probably work:

A tie counts as a 1/2 right and 1/2 loss (if you picked a win).   If you pick a tie and someone wins, then again, 1/2 credit.   Now with that, since everyone is picking a different amount of games, you divide the number of correct picks (points) by the number of total picks.  obviously this favors someone who only picks what they think are the "sure things" but they dont get the glory of being a prolific picker who maybe has a good percentage

Example:   You pick A to win and they tie....1/2; B to win and they win....1; C to tie and they lose....1/2; D to win and they lose....0; E to tie and they tie....1.

So you got 3pts in 5 picks, or .600

On 2nd thought, we ought to reward risk takers who pick winners instead of ties. Either give them more weight or else track an additional category of just the % of winners picked correctly.

I am cool with either way...its just for fun anyway
