Two Reds played up (development no?) and one played after being sick (was expected not to play) - if you didn't catch that in my thread... you do the math but I think that equals 3 - any math wizards out there that can check my math here?

I just see facts being presented. 1) Spirit Red was not short players. 2) They did not use CPP to "develop" the D1 players who weren't getting enough playing time on their respective team or to backfill players that were out. 3) Spirit simply used CPP to help their D3 team win a regular season game.
Personally I don't like CPP being used to play "down" but I think it's great to play players "up" because playing up is for development of the player and playing down is used just to get a win. All I can say is we ALL better get used to CPP being used/abused going forward!

No one whining???  Have you read this string?
A little late to the dance eh Paulie? When you posted about whining there hadn't been any. 6+ hours and 30+ posts later and yeah there's been a few posts that could be construed as "whining". It has now reached ad nauseam stage for me, but I assure you this topic will continue to reoccur as each team gets bitten by the CPP bug! And rest assured that the bottom feeders will continue to stir the pot every chance they can get!

I don't think anyone is questioning your math. Just the 5 on the bench.

Hey math alete.....if 3 players not on the orginal team play 80% of the game who sits those minutes.......3 fte work of kids on the bench. If you are going to be a smart @#$ and them on top of that defend them by saying it was for development might want to have some logic behind your dribble.

SoccerShocker...which is it?

"We had a short roster and had to do something and that's exactly what the CPP is for..."

So you were short and needed top players for subs?

Or...

"Why put your D1 player in a position they can't be successful on their D1 team when you can play them out of position on the D3 team and give them a chance to develop and learn that position or a different scheme or even just learning to play with different players."

You wanted to allow your top d1 girls to learn to play with your d3 girls? Both the forward and goalie played the same positions as d1, not sure about the third.

Or...

"Two Reds played up (development no?) and one played after being sick (was expected not to play) - if you didn't catch that in my thread... you do the math but I think that equals 3 - any math wizards out there that can check my math here?"

You played 2 of your d3 girls in your last d1 game so you needed to cover their d3 spots in your game last night??

I think your math is on point, clearly 3=3. However, your reasoning skills need a little tweaking.
At this point it isn't whining. You're right, Sting could have hit their shots and stopped the goals. But, hey, if you are going to play the rule to your advantage...just own it. You wanted to win. You felt those 3 would help you do it. No need to spin it, it is what it is. Lol.

And that my friends is a wrap. We all know the system has been bastardized, if your team contributes to the problem, then shame on you. Any thoughts on the tx spirit vs feet black game coming up in D-3? Should be interesting.
