solar doesn't need to buy a ecnl presence. They will hold a tryout and bring in the best they can just like always

You would figure you'll have a better turn out of teams. Sad to say only 13 teams. This is a real State Cup Tournament.

some quick numbers to compare depth of the teams

SoCal State Cup

60 bracket games 14 winners scored 4 or more. 23%. highest goals scored was 7 (2 times)

LH D1 through 4/18 (20 teams -- only played D1 teams)

142 games 45 winners scored 4 or more. 32%

LH D3 through 4/18 (10 teams -- only played D3 teams)

76 games 15 winners scored 4 or more. 20%

So throw these 30 and 10 more from Plano/Arlington and the amount of blowouts in bracket play would easily surpass 23%

the top 16 in NTX would probably be similar to SoCal results
