Most all seniors have been scouted and recruited well before the senior year.

As a USSF member, NTSSA will follow whatever the mother organization mandates, if and when it is announced.
US Club is also a USSF member. Their stance has been in favor of the birth year change but not the mandate to 9v9 as they've stated the local clubs/leagues should make that decision.
The possible change to 9v9 benefits all the kids. The birth year change would only benefit a few at the expense of many, imho.

I would also want her playing against 3rd and possible 4th graders instead of 3rd and possible 2nd graders. Your college kid will be in the class of 2024 if they are a 3rd grader. Many on here want their kids to play with their school age. You still graduate with your school age. They would need to get all schools as pure age also to make it work correctly...lol. Does girls soccer have that much influence? Lol
As far as National teams, it is U15, U17 etc and starts with the odd year birthday. If your daughter was ever in that pool, the 06s would have to compete with the 05s.
IMO, it's a win win for 06s. If your 06 is elite, you want them playing up. If you want the advantage of your early 06 playing late 06s, you can do that too.
It just all depends on the level you want your dd playing. You have options.
I think much of what you say is true. Here are some additional points:
1) They just added additional national team camps to avoid the grouping. For example, there was recently U14 & U16 national team camps, that lead to teams. Net, the 06 play with 05 will not necessarily be the cases. Certainly, not for ODP, which is already age pure.
2) First year of select your not allowed to have kids play up. So, if you want your dd to play up unless the rule changes you will have to wait a year.
3) I think the playing up thing at early age is certainly a matter of choice. But, if you take two equally athletic girls, but one is 9 and the other is 10, a full year older, that can be tough to swallow. I saw it in a Futsal game, the exact scenario, the game was somewhat competitive but the 10 year old was 3 inches taller, faster, stronger, and showed up on a small court. Can't image on outdoor field. Don't get me wrong I am not against playing up but I just think it has to be thought through very carefully and for the individuals benefit not a team. Hope that is not controversial...can't handle another Mayweather v PaqMan. LOL
Just doing some fact checking. A U11 player does not have to play with their age group first year of select. They can play up to U12, U13 if they want. Good discussion on these changes. Please carry on.

Correct, I am guessing what sheets meant to say is u10 players cannot play up u11. But once they are U11 you can play up as if your DD desires

Got cha. If the change happens this year 06 birth year players would not be able to play U11 select with 05s. If the change happens in 2016 then 06 birth year players can play up to U12 with 05s. That is how I understand the rule.

Just tell your coach to ALWAYS count on change. If it happens you are prepared and if not no big deal.

Meeting with the coaches saying -- basically -- "nevermind, nothing to see here, move along."
Until I see something on the NTX website or USSF website, I'm going to keep doubting these threads every time they pop up.
Maybe it will happen, but it's not worth getting worked up about for now.

The North Texas website listed yesterday (April 13 5PM) as the deadline for proposed bylaws (ie rules) changes. So maybe the "vote" really means whatever rules committee working on the proposed change decided not to submit? North Texas should have available somewhere the information on all proposed changes that will be submitted for vote at the July AGM right? Guessing 9v9 is a done deal and that the calendar year change died in committee - if for no other reason than the anticipated significant negative affect on the local associations running the rec leagues.

Re: Age True and 9v9 in 2016 for NTX
I believe 9v9 will happen with the 06's at U11 as it give the various leagues time to plan and adjust the fields accordingly. Just another thing for them to moan about I guess
Re: Age True and 9v9 in 2016 for NTX
I like the idea of the change. Until I see it on the LHGCL website, I won't believe it.

will that be in time for the 06's?.....no more than likely not. So the plan is 11v11 for the 06's at U11. Sorry to be the soothsayer but that's what I was told from the high authority

Way more questions than answers... but besides those that were in attendance at the meeting held or those that received communication... the rest of us are just guessing or hoping that change does not occur.

Re: Age True and 9v9 in 2016 for NTX
The 9v9 option could start with the 06' group without complication. The age pure would need to be implemented with plenty of time for club to prepare and to avoid total chaos. I can't wrap my head around only chosen clubs having the bennifit of receiving word of the change prior to the vote. I would think it would have to be stated publicly to keep from further chaos. Notifying only a handful of clubs which would lead to an unfair advantage, could result in lawsuits.

Based on what I am hearing, my $s say the 9v9 change starts with 06s and the age change does not start until later (maybe much later). I tend to believe what I am hearing, because common sense regarding the impact of these two changes would say the same..
