Re: Cinco de Mayo D1 Games
I wish I could say Texas Spirit vs. Dallas Texans South on Cinco de Mayo was a great game. Unfortunately tempers flared. The referee had completely lost control of the game by half time. I saw penalties on both sides. DTS player put a linebacker block on one of our girls away from the ball. DTS player tackled our player by wrapping up her legs in the box to avoid a goal. To be fair I say my DD push a DTS girl with 2 hands. The difference between DTS and Spirit? I told my daughter that she was wrong to retaliate against another player. Some DTS parents and coaches encourage this behavior. Spirit is not the first team to discuss this on the forum. No I am not whining or complaining. I am stating facts. Spirit girls also informed parents that there was a constant use of "F" bombs on the field by DTS players. Not too mention this language was used by the parents on the sidelines as well. A Spirit player also informed me that during a foul she got up and the DTS player called her a B****. What 11 year old does that? Please don't tell me that is part of the game. It is called sportsmanship. Look it up in a dictionary or on the internet. Unfortunately the concept of sportsmanship is disappearing from these games. Spirit had way too many free kicks from outside the box. Not too mention the DTS players had to be backed up every time by the ref. Surely we all know the rules by now. That is a large amount of penalties outside the box. Why is it necessary to intentionally foul someone to avoid a break away goal? The yellow card that was given to DTS clearly was a red card. Spirit forward had beaten every DTS player and was nearing the box. Not only did the DTS defender sweep the ankle she pushed our forward on the way down. Shoe came flying off and bruised the side of her head. No apology or help getting up. DTS player simply walked away and smiled. Actually heard a DTS parent say " Good job". Obviously this is taught and encouraged.
Had several DTS parents who thought it would be a good idea to stand on the Spirit side and incite the parents.
ETIQUETTE RULE #1: STAY ON YOUR OWN SIDE!
ETIQUETTE RULE #2: If you insist on standing on opponent side, BE QUIET!
DTS has some great players. Please teach them how to play soccer and use sportsmanship. They will be better players for it in the future.
My DD has too many opportunities to play soccer now and in the future. I will not allow another team who plays this brand of soccer to ruin that.
I will be at the game on Saturday. If you are a DTS parent and would like to have a conversation come on over and lets talk. If you prefer threats and violence please stay on your side.
Spirit vs. DTS on Saturday. I would love too see a real soccer game instead of a rugby game. Win with class.

Re: Cinco de Mayo D1 Games
since YOU are the one who started the negative comments and violence at the game, if you would like to have a conversation approach us in a proper manner, we're all adults here.. ACT LIKE ONE!

I guess the rumor was true (as always). Based on your quote, I take it you're a DTS parent and knew this really happened. Just own up to your sideline's thuggish behavior next time. SMH

When your down 2-0 that happens sometimes I guess. I wouldn't know. It hardly ever happens to us. Not to say it can't or never will. Call it what you want. I just say don't start none...won't be none! Pretty simple.
From reading your responses, it is now very clear why your girls play they way they do.

Well you might want to get used to that, unless G.A. wants to be the little Dutch boy. That dyke has a big leak in it. Word on the street...the mass exodus has begun.DownToplaySoccer wrote:Come on Soccapeeps! Lighten up. As you can tell by the thread something happened. You're funny (in a sad way). So you want me to believe that...you win and the opponent's parents want to fight? You lose (LP Elite) and they also want to fight you? Not to mention other times that I've read on here that you guys act like morons.
Seems like every team is picking on poor ole DTS parents. There is only one common denominator here. Ever consider that just maybe you're the @-hole parents?

Re: Cinco de Mayo D1 Games
This is when I fade into the shadows or fly across the large body of water as the nuclear bomb destructs with me carrying it away from the city like on Dark Knight Rises.
DTS parents aren't bad neither are the girls....they will defend and finish what's started, might even say they are all talk. When was the last time you heard somebody got beat up at a DTS game? I'll wait....
Never.
The parents were about to fight!! U can't stop 2 grown men who want to fight each other or two women for that matter from actually fighting...
My advice to you all, just don't say anything to them and they won't say anything to you.
Good night, it's been grand.
