Pick a winner
Re: '06 SuperCopaG Winner
Congrats to all 4 NTX teams for making the quarterfinals, and to Solar and Kicks for the all NTX final.
Kudos to coach JM and his girls on the impressive tournament win. The Kicks team is legit. Skill and SPEED all over the field. Those girls are explosive and very entertaining to watch. I was most impressed by the way they passed the ball around the field, specifically by trying to work it out of the back, and not just kicking it forward. That is refreshing to see in Ntx especially at this age. Keep it up coach.
Let me end by echoing SkeetsG06 words. Ntx can not be satisfied with being "the best" at u9-u11. This 06 group is off to a great start. The work, development, and, training has to continue in order for NTX to continue to compete on a national level(National team, D1 programs, etc).

Putting something together of this size is not an easy task, but they pulled it off nicely. Aside from the parking nightmare, it was an awesome event. Officiating was...well, something that can be improved on for next year. The fields were awesome and there was nice soccer on display in all of the age groups. (The 03 striker from Cincy was just sick) There is some serious talent in the 06's.

I would like to clarify that this sounds like me, but futbollove and I are not alters. Also, the ironic thing is that JM isn't even a speed guy.

I was not implying that at all. I was simply stating that the girls were fast. Nothing more, nothing less.Sho'nuff wrote:futbollove wrote:I was able to take the DD's out to catch a few games this weekend and I must say kudos to U90 and SuperCopa for what appeared to be a very well run tournament. Both teams played with skill. Solar girls were just as skilled. But there is no denying that the Kicks speed played a huge factor in the game. Solar, and no other team for that matter, was able to match it.

It was nice to see 2 NTX teams playing good possession type of soccer in the finals. Its no fun watching a team with a bunch of booting bloody toes win it.

Socal teams I hope you come back next year. It was nice getting to play some very talented teams from Cali. I was beyond impressed at the level of play by your goal keepers. The Albion and Barcelona goal keepers were fun to watch. Galaxy goal keeper was solid too but I felt we didn't play our best or had as many opportunities. Credit Galaxy for a great tough game.

Coach, I was very impressed by your girls. So calm under pressure. They gave my daughter a workout for sure (Albion Keeper).
