Awful quiet for June... surely this rain didn't wash away all the soccer rats...

So which teams aren't going to make?

I have no inside knowledge. But it appears pretty normal movement based on "Teams Looking" section. Please correct me if I'm miss interpreting something.

Seems correct.  It's signing time!  I wonder if those teams selling the "dual roster" will actually allow the players to purchase both sets of uniforms?  I believe that this will be the first shoe to drop for those sold on "dual rostering their DD's.  Who will actually get the dual roster?  Buyer beware.... Will you  sign if you don't get a clear "yes" on the uniform?   The second shoe will be when the offers to come to ECNL practices stop being received.

Most teams have had major movement (not just bc of ecnl) that should impact byes. Luckily the clubs are keeping those byes so no one really talks about it.

Yes "LUCKILY". Luckily, they wrote the rules to favor themselves. Luckily, they were smart enough to include a few catch all phrases in the the rules that allow them to do what ever they want. My personal favorite are the "unwritten rules". They should move to Las Vegas. They're so lucky, they'd own the entire strip inside of a week.

Well it appears someone decided not to come back so Forth Worth FC will now get a bye.

What team folded that allowed FWFC to get the bye ?

I could be wrong about this, but does Sting have another team replacing the Higgy girls that went to ECNL? I think that may be where the vacancy is coming from. If thats not it, I have no clue who folded.

From what I have heard, Sting Parker is taking Higgy's spot.

Wasn't there a team last year that did the same thing -- moving up a division in 02G to D1? How did they do?

Dallas Texans White went from DIII to DI and the scores/record indicate they did not do well.

That is correct. But there was improvement. The last game played was 4-3 vs Andro Red. Saw an improvement vs DT 02g (Dynamo) with a 4-1 loss in the fall and a 1-0 loss in the spring. Tied Sting Brown in Dallas internatinonal girls cup. The team stayed together despite the difficult year.
Fcd Blue has a completely new roster. Will LH use the new rule they created to decide if they stay??? Will be very interesting to see how it all shakes out with the top teams moving to ECNL.

If Sting Parker is taking their spot, I guess that created a vacancy in the lower division. I'm assuming that's why FWFC has a spot

This will be an interesting year for sure with all this movement. Might as well just make one division, it's all over the place as it is.

I think the teams that will perform well, in the fall, will be those that kept a core of players intact. It will take time for some of these teams to gel, if the bulk of their players are new to playing together. Predict by spring some of this will even out. Another factor is that most of the top talent bolted to ECNL, will be interested to see what these D1 teams look like, since many have pulled players from all over the map.

I do believe that the top clubs are dual rostering their ECNL girls, so you may be playing a team with girls from ECNL, D1,and even previous Plano players on them. Survival of the fittest for sure.

ECNL teams have dual rostered in previous years. But this year appears different with the LHGCL rule change that allows clubs to keep their bye even if teams move to another league (ie ECNL) and don't dual roster 50%. Previously LHGCL would not allow clubs to keep bye so they had to dual roster. The new rule allows clubs to keep the bye but LHGCL may move teams to a lower division if they don't return 50%.

It appears most of these teams have full rosters of non-ECNL players. I guess they could still CPP with a NTX roster that maybe setup but not registered in LHGCL. Interested to see new CPP rule changes and if they will limit CPP.

There was a lot of roster movement this year, so I agree Fall games will be won primarily by teams returning a large core of players. But in Spring games, I think teams will settle in.

Based on previous posts, I believe FWFC got back in because Sting Higg is giving their bye to Sting Parker. So Parker's Div II bye is being given up and allowing FWFC back in.

Also appears FCD South is giving bye to FCD White.

So 2 of last seasons 4 relegated teams are back in.

The only strange thing is that Sting didn't take the DII bye and it reverted to FWFC. The only reason I find this strange is that there is a Sting team in qualifying. I thought the club had rights to bye? Maybe LH wouldn't allow it. The rules are convoluted and hard to follow.

Ha, great rule. Out of the league cuz you lost too much, back into the league cuz losing doesn't matter if you're wearing the right jersey
