Throwback Thursday (10/1)

Post some of you favorite moments on the forum. Ranking was big back before FBR.. Everyone chimed in.. Here is one back from 2011. A few of these teams names, I forgot all about..

04 Girls Rankings

The tournaments this weekend showed a couple of things.
Odyssey was over-ranked.
Fever is still a top team.
Lady Aztecs were a little over ranked.
Solar Red is not a top 20 team.
DT Bennett played tough against two top teams but results show they had a tough time beating a team that is barely in the top 20.
With the exception of Fever, Primetime teams didn't fare too well against SDL teams this weekend.
At this point, there are a lot of 04 teams out there. It's not as easy as it used to be to make the top 20.

Here are the new rankings (Just for fun).
1. Dalglish - They still appear to be a level above the others.
2. DT North - They are ready for a showdown with Dalglish but will it ever happen?
3. Solar Kennington
4. DT Bennett
5. Fever - Strong showing last weekend.
6. Texas Spirit North
7. Texas Black Gold
8. Lady Aztecs - Lost to Shamrocks. I'm not even sure that the Lady Aztecs should still be in the top 10 but time will tell.
9. Odyssey - Lost to Beardsley. I also have doubts about Odyssey being a top 10 team but maybe they just had a bad game?
10. Juventus Black
11. DTS
12. Liverpool Barnes - Took care of business.
13. Liverpool Keegan
14. Liverpool Beardsley - Had easy competition on the way to the championship game but made a statement by beating Odyssey.
15. GSSC
16. Texas Spirit
17. Solar Gold - Is this the same Solar Gold team from Spring SDL?
18. Sting East
19. Solar White - Looks like they had a good game against DT Bennett only losing 4 to 2, and results show they killed Solar Red.
20. Tie - Cosmos White & Wizards(Kicks)

U7. Wow.

So- how many of these teams are still intact... I need some help here, not sure about the Liverpool coaching changes. But for sure we have..

3. Solar Kennington - Became D'Feet Black
4. DT Bennett - Fell apart
5. Fever - Still around
6. Texas Spirit North - Still around
7. Texas Black Gold - Fell apart
8. Lady Aztecs - Became one of the Sting team, not sure.. Help me out here
9. Odyssey - Still around
10. Juventus Black - Became Mustangs FC but not sure
11. DTS - Still around
12. Liverpool Barnes - Became Solar 04
13. Liverpool Keegan - Became FC Dallas Premier
14. Liverpool Beardsley - Became Dalglish and now FC Dallas Elite
15. GSSC - Still around
16. Texas Spirit - Still around
17. Solar Gold - Fell apart
18. Sting East - Fell apart, now back. Sting East Piper
19. Solar White - Became D'Feet White
20. Cosmos - Still around

Isn't Solar White now D'Feet White? Or was this before he split his team into two?

You are correct.. Solar White was coached by JK..

Juventus Black is Mustangs. Remember though, Sting East originally had two 04 teams, Chacon and Piper. Piper left then came back and combined with Chacon who no longer coaches to my knowledge.

Funny looking at the members posting then. A lot of guest or names that aren't around anymore. Of course Go99 is there.

It's so weird to see all the old posters who you no longer see on here. I always wonder what happened to them. Did their DD's quit playing or did the parent get their butt hurt over some post and vow never to come back. Perhaps they just faded away...(cue Happy Trails soundtrack).

Wow. Definitely brings back memories. Btw DT Bennett is now Dallas Texans Scott. (Or at least majority of the core is still there)
