Exactly, so what would be in it for Feet? Liverpool gets access to the ECNL and Feet disappears. What a great deal.
Feet has been dead on the vine for a few years now. Only suspense is waiting to see how the ultimate end game plays out.
What Feet would get in a deal like this is a bit of face saving rather then getting booted from ECNL and just having to shut the doors. Also provides a place for the coaches to continue getting paid.

Re: Liverpool D'Feeters
Do NTX parents really want the landscape to look like STX? Very little in the way of choices of clubs? Monopolies are bad, prone to corruption, abuse, loss of options and free will. History is on my side. Learn from it or suffer repeating it.

What it would do is give LP access to ENCL, rather than have their players/teams ravaged by the big four every year at the U13 or U14 age. It simultaneously gives Feet access to a very large pool of players and you may deny it if you wish, but LP has plenty of talented players. Which is exactly the reason that they get raided every single year. Lastly, anything that promotes more competition for the big 4, and possibly a dilution of power away from the big 4, is good.

Not sure how letting LP expand the big 4 to a big 5 via Feet spot is going to change the dynamics around a big 4/5 existing due to ECNL membership (whichever clubs may be in the big 4/5) and cure all the ills you mention.
Is it that LP is intrinsically good, honest and forthright while the existing big 4 and little 1 are not?
Seems more to me like one cartel leader meets his maker, someone else takes his place, he renames & rebrands the cartel, and business continues as usual?

Maybe an oligopoly. Certainly not a monopoly in NTX.

3 competitive ECNL teams for NTX sounds better.

I'd wager that's what will happen with DA but maybe just 2 clubs.

One of the teams in the Southwest Conference are from Phoenix and 1 from Vegas. That leaves 9 in the conference from SoCal.

Aren't a couple of the teams in the Texas conference from Oklahoma. If the best soccer is played in NTX, what difference does it make how many teams are from here?

If SoCal has 9 teams and 3x the population of NTX then 2 or 3 teams max is about right for NTX.
And no the best soccer is not played in NTX.

Well that's been the prevailing sentiment on this forum for years. Girls youth soccer starts and ends in NTX.

With the move to add a girls DA, please explain that to me in a way that makes sense...
-Keeping in mind they chose to not have a girls DA when they started the boys side
-The USWNT just won the WC
-ECNL been a success by any measurable aside from cost

A bunch of mis-info here.....
ECNL has dropped and added clubs each year in the current format... A club goes "under review" before the decision to drop is made. Feet has never been even been "under review".. The only Texas Conference Club to be under review to date was Rush, last year. And they are still kicking in ECNL. In terms of ECNL accomplishments last year, Feet was right there with Sting with a team that made nationals (00s) and a team that won a secondary ECNL trophy (98s). Feet also has a great record of sending kids to college soccer. And have been a Nationally know all girls Club...
You never know what tomorrow will bring, but to date, these are just rumors. Mostly from hunches by us NTX soccer parents

Re: Liverpool D'Feeters
and the US won the WC but were outplayed most of it regardless of the results and the USSF's job is not to sit back until they start losing but to improve before they are in shambles (just ask the mighty England men)
You seem to be personally hurt by the fact that they didn't add girls when they made boys DA. It's not personal. Sexism, arrogance, lack of desperation that the men have? Sure maybe, but not personal.
Now the reason it makes sense and can be a great thing is the one group who has a vested interest in developing players to compete long term at the international level is the USSF. It is just a developmental league to create it's own future players.
So the USSF adding the girls is a good thing anyway you look at it (besides the crazy I love ECNL way). The only problem is PARENTS. It is not, will not be, and never way created for the needs of every player. It's not exclusive, not about your ego, not even about wins and losses. It is about creating a certain player and if you do not want to be that player then you shouldn't be there.
Now if you or have a vested interest in the ECNL I apologize because this could take a small dip into your money. If not then I have difficulty understanding your pain. The ECNL is just a league. They don't know you, they don't love you, they don't give two $#its about you or your kid. Now neither does the DA but the DA does at least have some skin in the game and some of their own money to back it up.
Since we are asking questions, you tell me "how is having more opportunities to play a BAD thing"
