FBR 06AP 7/17/2016 FINAL FBR for 06AP

OK HERE IS THE FINAL FBR FOR 06AP. MY DAYS OF FBR ARE OVER!!!!  I SURVIVED!!!!
It was great getting to know many coaches, managers, and parents of 06s throughout this process.   Good luck to all players and teams next year and many years to come in select soccer!  

This updated FBR is as of 7/17/2016.  All King Tut games have been included.  The only team in this published ranking now with 05/06 data is FC Fusion.   They did not play King Tut.   But this is what is looks like after today's games........

Only 06AP teams (EXCEPT THE ONE TEAM MENTIONED ABOVE) with 3 or more games since March 1, 2016 are included in the FBR published rankings.   All games in the U10 leagues and tournaments that "publish results" are included even if they are still 05/06 teams except if they played 11v11.  However, only teams that are playing as 06AP teams are included in the rankings (players born Jan 1, 2006 and younger only).  Any team with a Aug 05 to Dec 05 player has been excluded from the published rankings.

As always regulation scores are used for FBR....not OT and no PKs that determine a game result. No U11 games are included in the data.  Forfeits do not count in FBR.   FBR is presented as W/L/T not W/T/L

When making a final FBR for 06.... Why narrow it down to only LH Qualifying teams? What's the point in excluding JDL teams that aren't doing both? Why not include ALL 06 AP teams?

FBR in the past has used the final FBR to predict LHQT results and has limited the last ranking to only those teams signed up for LHQT.   I will reference the 05 final FBR link and the link to the data that details the FBR accuracy and LH seeding accuracy for the 05s.

FBR has been used just for fun for predicting LH qualifiers.    In the past there has even been human polls to do so.   This year has brought along many changes and future FBR posters may change how they approach FBR.    I chose to follow what had been done in the past.    The bottom line is now league standings and got soccer rankings take over.    JDL league won't keep scores.  

Once LH posts their seeding for LHQT I will post a comparison to my final FBR.   After the tournament is over I will also provide data comparing FBR and LH seeding's accuracy on predicting D1 and D3 qualifiers.

Guess it doesn't matter a whole lot but #13 fc Dallas Kounas was 2-1-1 this weekend you have them as 3-0-1

I was informed by their opponent that they won the game 3-0 where it shows they lost 3-0.

They tied solar Byars 0-0 Saturday and it appears you had it as a loss for Byars and win for fcd

No I have it as a tie for Byars. FBR is presented as WLT not WTL. I show the following for FCD

Tie 0-0 Byars
Win 2-1 over Sting Central Patulea
Win 3-1 over DT Red
Win 3-0 over DT North. (King tut has this scored entered reversed)

So 3-0-1 in FBR.

Can you explain to me how the FBR is determined. For example, D'Feeters Colon has a 10-11-5 record and are ranked 3rd with more losses than wins; Tx Spirit Monk is 8-3-2 and ranked 8th. I'm new to the ranking stuff and am not sure how it works.

FBR takes in much more data to calculate points /rankings than just WLT records. It also considers most weighted wins,margin of victory, weighted wins/games and strength of schedule for example. The teams are slotted in 6 tiers. The higher the tier a team is in that your team plays the more favorable your points for that part of the calculation is. Winning a game against a tier 2 team 3-0 versus a tier 4 team is better for your points calculation.
