JDL 06 Standing 09-17-2016

Saw most of the JDL games. It looked like many coaches really were focused on development vs. score. Saw a lot of girls playing out of their normal positions. Maybe this "league" does get it.. Question. if the coaches don't seem too concerned with the score why do the parents?

I changed the view.....a few people texted and said the side by side was too hard to view on their phone. So I moved standings to the top.

Just out of curiosity, why is DTS listed above Solar Black?

I can't think of any sports that adjust LEAGUE standings for rainouts or other temporary differences. Check out English Premier League on Saturday night.

PDX was most likely told by MS/HS to post that... been there done that. Can only imagine the text-fest that this created.

It's not anything new, its been the same way forever. I'll try to help you out.

In order of importance:
Points - DTS 3, Solar 3 = tied on points
GD - DTS +7, Solar +2 = DTS higher in standings

Solar, however, has a game in hand.

Actually Lake Highlands standings use the following method:

End of Season Tie Breakers: If two (2) or more teams are tied in the number of
points, the tie will be broken as follows (except as stated in 6 below):
a. Winner of head-to-head competition.
b. Team with most number of wins.
c. Fewest goals allowed in season games.
d. Most goals scored in season games.
e. Goal differential (goals scored all season minus goals allowed all season.
Team with highest differential wins higher position in standings.
Maximum of 3 goals for or against allowed per game).
f. Best record against common opponents.
g. The team with the fewest yellow and/or red cards will finish in the higher
position. NOTE: Only points accumulated in LHGCL play (regular
season) will be used for this calculation.
h. Elimination game(s) if time permits. Opponents determined by random
draw if more than two teams are tied for one position.
i. Coin toss.
j. In the event a game or games have been forfeited, if any other of the tied
teams played the opponent that forfeited to the other tied team(s), then all
the games against that opponent will be omitted before calculating the
points and/or standings.

FBR can use whatever method they chose to do the standings because they are unofficial anyway. If they were to use Lake Highlands method then Springate would be in 2nd place

I just glanced at the LH standings, and goals allowed appears to be the tie-breaker. I would have never guessed that, but I like it.
