I don't know the CPP rules specifically. Information can always be bad! It was just interesting info for discussion. As many have said, it's just fun for this forum to be waking up a bit. I'm not above spreading rumor to induce conversation... lol
So, just read the CPP rules and as long as you deactivate the player from the original team, you can CPP on the same day for a different team in your club. You just can't play for both teams on the same day.
Haha...if teams are doing that, then the spirit of the CPP has sadly gone to hell in a handbasket!
I like the "Game of the Week" topic/discussion...keep it going. Looks like the top-4 in this division may be starting to separate themselves...DTS, Kicks-Selecao, LP Elite, & Fever. The battle for spots 5-9 & D1 byes is gonna be epic for the rest of the season, and there are probably 9-10 teams that will e in the mix for those 5 spots. Sadly, it's probably going to come down to the teams that "mis"-use the CPP rule that get in.
Dude, man. CPP been used like that for-EVER lol. I've been a dad on a team that discussed CPP use almost every week. It wasn't done every week, but it was discussed. My oldest daughter (who is now in college) was shuffled around maybe twice a season to help with big games. ECNL players coming down to play LHGCL was (and I assume still is) common. You think it's for the ECNL player's development? HA! Obviously, ECNL NOT involved in this age group in question, but that's just another advantage of big clubs.
As far as the top 4, I agree with the top three for sure. I think Fever is a bit on the border. They've lost to LPE and haven't played the top 2. True, they haven't lost to anyone below them, but they were close with Shepard and snuck by Kicks JM (the question of CPP notwithstanding). They still have to play Solar and Sting West. I'm still thinking Sting West has a chance to sneak up there. (NOT Robles but the other one. Robles might challenge the record for most goals allowed this year. Feel bad for those kids)
Understand CPP has been used to win games for years by utilizing ECNL players playing down, sister clubs, etc. But for a club to remove players from the team on which they are rostered, for purposes of playing that day for another club team that has a tougher game...that's just dirty!! Not saying that happened, but that was what was suggested above, and just wrong.

Re: 05G Games of the Week (Sept 24/25)
Kicks-Selecao can score with anyone, but believe they'll have trouble with the strength of DTS/LPE
I've seen Andro play this season. In the other 05 D1 thread, I predicted they would be top-9 come season's end, but I believe they are on the bubble. They are among the 9-10 teams I think will be battling for the 5-9 byes spots. Also saw them in D1 last year when they finished 18 of 20 teams, and the AP changes have most definitely helped them as they are now one of the bigger teams in the 05 division. They've also added some talent that allows them to score where they couldn't last year. Think those saying they'll end around 15 will be surprised when they play Andro. They aren't a top-5 team (where they currently stand), but don't believe 15-20 like so many have said here either.

To be fair to SWINGIT! who obviously has a personal connection to Kicks, rumors are what they are -- rumors. Only the coach and the kids on those teams know the truth. Wherever the truth is, Fever beat JM this week. I took a peek and Fever plays Selecao next week. We'll see what happens there. If Fever manages to win both, then I guess it really doesn't matter. We'll see if Phun makes that the next game of the week... lol

All of Selecao players played Saturday morning in their game. No Selecao player played against Fever. This week, every Selecao player will play against Fever, so we'll see how it turns out.

in fact, I've said already where the info came from. my comment that you quoted was actually supposed to give you the benefit of the doubt since as I pointed out, you obviously have a close connection to the team.

Re: 05G Games of the Week (Sept 24/25)
Selecao can knock DTS. 2 forwards , through balls from four mids. The forwards have enough speed.
Move the defense up.
Make DTS take longer kicks.
This is 11 year year old soccer, counter and anything can happen.
Should be a fun game.
I cheer for underdogs in this one.
Ha, a tie might clinch the title for selecao on goal differential at the end of the season. The pressure is on DTS to score and win.

Could catch defenders off guard and pray to put one goal if the game is close.
If fever tries to play any other style other than 4-4-2 or 4-5-1. Selecao will win 3-0 in this one.

Hard to clear the ball if you do not have it.4-4-2 wrote:4-4-2 knows 4-4-2 soccer. You clear the ball 50 times every game. Every kick to the the 3rd row or out of bounce, it takes about 30 seconds off the clock. You earn a draw or a win by a fluke goal. How hard is that. Have seen enough LH games with 1-0 scores with this style.skiberdad wrote:4-4-2 wrote:You can thank me after next weekend.skiberdad wrote:4-4-2 wrote:4-4-2 advices fever to kick every ball to third row and make selecao loose rhythm.

It takes more than some banter on this forum to get me bent out of shape.skiberdad wrote:Selecao will dominate possession. no doubt of that. Those Fever kids can fight, though so they'll get to boot some balls! They might even get lucky, as 4-4-2 suggests. They tied 0-0 with Selecao at Tut (as part of the Silver division...that still cracks me up) so maybe it will be more of a game than we are thinking!

Come on out to the game. Plenty of help will be needed to retrieve those balls from the 3rd row.
