Hahaha, if I had the honor I would! Appreciate you thinking of me though! Just driving around like every other parent from session to session picking up some cones and balls along the way. A lot of great people in our soccer community!

In addition to It can be a challenging predicament for a coach when you play with first team players in this environment and the results are marginal or less than. Then what?

So I assume your speaking to Byers bringing in your Solar Red players and still getting beat? Who really cares? Its about the touches correct? Sure those few players who assisted aren't always use to playing with that team. Takes time to gel right?

Re: 06 Girls - U90C Spring Kickoff (Feb 3-5)
Your right I am all about the extra touches in the right environment. I have a lot of respect for families and players looking for and taking the extra touches for means of development.
What I am not an advocate of is a coach that continuously attempts to or takes top players from the top team and plays "down". If it is a case of maybe some players that don't get enough PT on that first team (JDL Players 10-14) or touches in a game scenario I think it is a good idea. Other than that I simply don't.
What is the benefit to a top first team player? Some extra touches can be argued yes. But what is the quality of them and what is the quality of the environment? What is the risk of injury?
What is the benefit to the team? As I have previously mentioned these players and teams may need some extra time to develop hence participating in this tournament. When you bring in other players it takes away from the goal and development of the team, it becomes counterproductive IMO. It also sends the wrong message to the team, club, market, and to the parents that pay this coach to develop THEIR player. You may be able to pacify or fool parents with that ""coach"" getting that "trophy", for some time but I caution all for it will negatively effect the development of your player.
Conversely, 80% or greater of my extra touches for the last several years whether it be in training or game environment it has been playing up in 06B Gold or 05G Gold. We win some, we lose some, but man it is a battle and a great challenge! Placing players in a true environment of development, and I think they get better from it.
I would be in disagreement with any club, or coach doing something like this. So if the aforementioned coach is doing something like this then you know where I stand.

Since you are transparent about your 06 soccer feelings, how and who would you rank the top 5 teams Pre-Spring season? Feel free to provide color commentary with each team.

Re: 06 Girls - U90C Spring Kickoff (Feb 3-5)
1) Should all teams begin monitoring goals/assists at this age?
2) Practice schedule for this age group? My thoughts below
1 full rest day
1-2 deload days (light juggling, footskills, etc.)
scheduled around everything else

I saw that before, but you seemed to have your sights on one specific team playing this weekend so I was giving a chance to enlighten us all. Based on this last response I cjeakely need to move on.

You're right Dts teams usually do well for a few years before they start to implode.

Hopefully super group forms and destroys all 06 teams and rankings will not matter ever again in this age bracket.
I gotta run. Sephora and ulta about to close and I need to stock up for a friend.
