LH 05 Girls D3 Qualifying

Have heard numbers varying from 20 to 50 for how many teams will be going through qualifying for the spots.
Is there a way to know what teams are actually going to be in qualifying next month?

Probably no trustworthy source until LH publishes the final list. Some might be able to give you a running tally as they sign up, but with signing day not until July 1 and QT registration not until July 8, it will change every day.

Will be some new teams in LH for sure with all the coaching shuffles. Doubt many of them retained enough players to keep byes. Few going ECNL as well.

Not sure that any full teams from LH are really going to ECNL (sure some will join JDL teams to be new DA/ECNL teams). Maybe some go to JDL. But how does that impact D3 quailifying?
Unless those with byes don't move the teams or clubs can't fill the byes, D3 qualifying should be for the very few spots allotted. My guess is that big clubs fill the byes. Most seeking to qualify are going to be independents or big club satellites that big clubs don't care about.

I think that much of what you saw last year in the top spots will be different. Liverpool will be there but their squad will be very different. DTS and Kicks I believe are both going ECNL so both byes will prob be filled with different squads. Fever is said to largely be the same. As far as the rest? Teams as usual lost and gained players. Some got better and some didn't. Sting will have very different looking teams after their hell summer. This does not affect D3 qualifying as you said, should only be 4 spots available. Decided against DA
Lost JD.
Lost land/practice facility.
Lost several players, looking at how many unis are for sale.
Getting bashed on forum for not coming clean on aforementioned items.
Has no plan for future.

Looks like only 11 05 teams registered for QT.
Question now, how many spots are there? Haven't seen updated bye list to know if everyone claimed theirs from last year...

So 16 teams playing for 4 spots.2 rounds, 8 advance to week 2, 8 eliminated. Any predictions? Any teams stand out in Tut?

Would have been my top choice FCD East but have some insider information and not the best showing in Tut. My fingers are crossed for Coach Gray and the girls though and should at least be in the top 2 in bracket play and on to the next round

My daughter tried out for many of these teams this summer, and I have seen most all of them play in the last 2 months either in tournaments or scrimmages.
Top of the class is:
USA SC - Core group of players are strong (hopefully merger with Raiders does not have a negative effect)
McKinney United - Added D2 & D3 players to a solid core group
Celtic Hoffman - Added D3 players to a good core group of girls
Its a toss up for that last spot:
Waco United
Texans Mansfield
Solar
FCD East
FCD Black
Should make for a great Round 2. Good luck to everyone.

That USA is a 14 seed out of 16 is unreal. I hope they wipe the floor and prove to LH that, just because they played in Plano last year, they're still a very good team that belongs in LH.
IMO, if this team was in LH last year, we'd be talking about whether they would have been promoted to D2.
That said, they come from far away and that's a huge challenge and commitment to roster a consistent team. I hope they kept their core and didn't suffer a downgrade in talent.

Dumb question but where are you guys calculating the seeding? I agree about the USA club. They are fast, physical and technical. Assuming their roster stayed the same they should qualify without any problem.

Agreed. Looking at the seeding it seems very off but I guess that's why you play the game.
