which, to me, sort of begs the questions: why were LH personnel even at King Tut watching the 07s if they were only going to take a publicly available ranking for their seeding?  if there were teams that had guest players in the 07 age group, why weren't their seedings affected? if Tut was required, why were the teams that didn't participate affected?

LH seems to think it dinged No. 24 - one of the only teams to skip TuT - and then there were a bunch of FCD teams in A-C. So LH likely dropped them all the way to No. 24. But if I'm No. 24, then I'm pretty happy that I could skip TuT and avoid playing the No. 2. And, if I'm No. 17 who plays 24, then I might be chapped if the No. 24 team was accurately ranked at 19 in the final FBR.

DTS 07 also skipped Tut. Why didn't they get dinged?

20 in D1
10 in D3

10 bracket winners qualify week 1. Next 10 and D3 the following week. 7 bracket winners and 3 top 2nd place teams(based on pts) get D1, next 10 based on points get D3.

It'd appear that 7 & 8 and 33 & 34 were switched so clubs wouldn't have to play one another.  Possibly also with the jumbling between 18 and 21, too.  24 was the only real mover.

#2 team is listed incorrectly. Should be D'Feeters JM/Bones

Thanks

Wow get these guys some tissue!!!!!
"It's not fair they have guest players...."
Get over it and get used to it. Teams will player pass and have guest players until the end of time. I always say if that guest player caused you to loose then you have bigger issues then you want to admit.
Let's give everyone a trophy and say you are the best......

I think the issue in this instance is more with the Solar club. They have players from their top team (who they have, probably rightfully, deemed as too advanced to play in the 07 age group) on rosters with their lower-ranked teams in the 07 age group. These players are of a level that having just one or two can substantially change the complexion of play for the teams on which they player pass. I understand why the Solar coaches are doing this. They are able to distribute players from the #1 ranked team in the nation across their lower teams for LH, thus giving a boost to the rest of the club. There is nothing against the rules about that. But a fair amount of annoyance/consternation is to be expected. It's not about grabbing tissues. It's about having finally reached the level of select play where by and large the expectation and reality is that teams are standing on the strength of their own rosters rather than player passing in the big guns to boost their level of play beyond what they could do on their own. You are right-it happens. And again it is completely within the current rules to do so. But the reality is that a number of people think that it shouldn't. Even some teams within the Solar organization aren't happy about it and would prefer to stand on the strength of their own roster, win or lose, than see their kids sit while SRSA kids are playing. As for the rest of us, it makes us better to play against the strongest players/teams possible. So while it can be annoying sometimes, it ultimately will make everybody else dig in and work harder. Each club is entitled to its own approach on this. But if the SRSA guests are helping them qualify, then the expectation should be that they are going to be playing with those rosters all year rather than serving as "ghost players" after LHQT is over.

We played one of those Solar teams and yeah, those kids make a difference but who cares? They're 10.

Kicks, FCD and some others used first-team players all year on 2nd and 3rd teams to build their rankings. Again, who cares? They're 10.

With 20 teams making DI why would Solar need these players to qualifying when most of the top Solar teams would easily make DI with or with out any help. And with only 38 teams participating it could be argued that the lower ranked Solar teams would do the same. Not sure I buy this argument. Besides, how is this any different from ECNL teams dual rostering players in the older age groups?

There are only 38 teams.... Who cares.. The 8 that don't make it in developmentally shouldn't be there in the first place. Welcome to classic league youth soccer. Every year the new U11 parents start freaking out over the same topics only to realize after the inaugural select season that it doesn't matter. No one is getting a scholarship this year, ODP is worthless for 4th graders, and if your QT goal differential is -14, that isn't the league for you.

Anyone? How is the second round seeded? Didn't see it in the docs. Any reason to venture outside the box for #3 and #4 seeds?
