You also have to agree that those DA teams are pretty good. At least most of them. Could they be better? Yes but at what cost? At some point the rosters will be full of great players and some of those great players will be starting only 25% of the time. They will not like that, so there in lies the problem.

Not to mention some of the best athletes not liking the idea of not having time and in most cases the option to compete in other sports

Case in point in LHGCL U19 Is going to be a slaughter for the backfill teams. Teams like Grado, Smith, Ferretti, DT Williams, and those teams in DI last season are going to do the slaying. Players that didn't return went on to DA, ECNL, Composite, TCL, or NPL, with due respect to the DI teams that retained their bye; blood is in the water and the dinner bell has been rung. Sparta FC belongs in D1 and has a chip on their shoulder. Lot's of shutouts this weekend. Can't decide yet if the forwards are just a little rusty from summer or if the defense has the edge this season.
