Solar grabs up another club

Looks like the pacman club is eating up another one. Parents from Mutiny are saying that Mutiny will become Solar at the end of this yr. Promises of JDL were made, I didn't even think that this age group would have JDL next yr. And of course DA and ECNL promises were made...... These small club families have a real culture shock coming...... hehe

There will be no jdl at any age group next year...

Zizou and his cast of misfits already told us no JDL. That was smoke and mirrors league anyway they were dispersed in LH.

JDL was a product of US Club and ECNL in their brief time in control. Yes med man you heard it here first about JDL going away, but look on the bright side for all you purists LHGCL is making a come back.

It doesn't mean anything to me Zizou outside of no JDL. What it really means is that the Spring in LH will have a twist.

I have been around the 06's (legacy 07's) since the beginning.  I am 100% sure that no promises of DA and ECNL were made.  Those are earned, if wanted, by the individual player.  We are all aware of that.  Feel free to PM me the parents of the 06's you are speaking with and I am happy to talk to them:).  

No JDL promises or even discussed in regards to the 06s

Unless your team is all in LH or child is dual rostered it's a wasted season.probably want to start looking for a new team or get ready for QT. Build it from the back is a soccer technique 101.

The top talent played up and most of LHD1 teams could have (and did in some cases) beat some of the JDL teams, so was there really a JDL?

That is great to hear the facts I will tell the multiple parents that say this that their kid is now being put in the GIANT pool of solar and that they may want to explore their options. Oh and I will make sure they know u said their kids don't have a spot until they earn it. Hat is good that they are being told the truth. To many are told their kid is getting a spot just to be put on another team after. Thanks again for the clearification.

I doubt that any guarantees were made as well, but unless you were at every meeting and every private conversation, how can you be 100% sure?

The fact that you are "100% sure" that no promises of DA or ECNL were made to any player in any private conversation is, in itself, complete 100% bs.

Sure -- Maroon probably worded this a bit too strongly, but why would that matter and how is it different from any other club that absorbs another?  Don't you think that his point was more likely that this ...

The Mutiny teams/coaches/kids/parents are already coming so don't need to be sold.  They all know that Solar have the ECNL (for now) and DA.  Having been involved in these conversations as a coach and a parent, I'd guess that a few "private" conversations may have been had (with the stronger players and those parents), but that would be a good thing for them, wouldn't it?  Why would Solar need to promise them anything to ensure that they stay?
