Looking for a great goalkeeper

Odyssey Soccer Club's 07 girl's team is looking for a goalkeeper.  We realize goalkeepers are a special breed of player, and that is what we are looking for.  We offer goalkeeper training to keep them up on the most current practices.  We also have a great group of girls who all get along well together, as well as some great parents(After all you will be seeing us alot).  We play in the primetime league so your game travel will either be to The Colony, Moneygram, or Pleasant Run in Colleyville.  We practice every Monday and Wednesday 6-7:15ish at Fort Worth Christian's turf field.  

If your goalkeeper is not getting the game time you feel she deserves, come check us out.  Once you come out and meet everyone, you will see why we are a great team.  Our coach, Cecil Noyce has been coaching with Odyssey for 17 years and has coached some truly great teams, including ours.

If you are a semi-decent 07 goalkeeper and you are not getting the playing time you think you deserve, you need to fire your parents immediately. From what I can tell, the number of "great" or just really good goalkeepers in the age group can be counted on one hand.

Yeah whiskeypapa, that would seem like a correct assesment.  Goalies can be a rare breed of soccer player.  Sometimes, though the parents can be more the problem than the player also.  Some parents wouldn't dare consider letting their girl play goalie.  IDK.  It goes both ways.  And unless your Macaulay Culkin, you cannot fire them.  

I am confident we will find our player though.  I appreciate the feedback.  Best of luck to you and your team!

I think we all know keeper parents are usually pretty freaky and strange. Don't know why that is but it is.

No offense taken at all!  It's about spot on.  In fact, it's not just goalies.  There just doesn't seem to be as many girls playing select soccer in this 07 age year period.  And since only so many are geared into goalies here we are.  We are in the Keller/NRH/NFW area, so not sure if that plays into the numbers mix also.

I am confident we will find that player or players soon as we have some great competition from the local clubs around us.  Appreciate the well wishes!
