Why would a team play in the LHQT if they are taking a LH club bye?

Who are you referring to?
Only reason I could think of would be that they found out the club could give them a bye /after/ they registered -- no 07 team in the QT earned a bye.

So they can earn their club another spot. If they qualify in QT then the club can give that bye to a different team thus having two.

Not saying this is the case, but if a team fails to pay its bye fee on time, they would have to requalify.

I’ve seen that exact scenario happen. LH’s DID NOT make them requalify. Special rules for special people.

These team byes are embarrassing the league. Is the kickback or back-end advantage LH gets for cow-towing to the big clubs worth it to water down the league this way?
