But to my point again, they advanced very far in a big tournament. For someone who follows this division so much, watching so many games of teams your son doesn’t play for, watching indoor and futsal games etc, it’s very surprising to hear you say it’s “a stretch” to cal them top team

They were without a doubt one of the best teams in the nation. You all are making it seem as if I said they were barely getting by. But to just say that they were the clear cut best when 3 different teams from two different parts of the nation in 3 separate tournaments beat them in head to head matchups just seems ludicrous to me. But hey, that’s just my opinion.

And by the way, I love watching sports, but I’ve actually never seen a futsal game in my life. Lol.

You guys know the local soccer season pretty well. I have a question, I see on other teams websites that they only practice twice per week. That doesn't seem enough unless the players are training outside their team practice. Also these teams are top CL teams. Surely they are training more than 2 times per week.

Two times a week with an individual/optional skills session is the norm for this age. You can probably add in a extra indoor game or futsal game being played during the outdoor season as extra.

That's what my gut is telling me. I ask the parents of kids who have Messi like skills if they do training outside team practice. The answer is also no and my gut tells me they are lying. So I sense that they are not being totally honest so I ask more questions.
Does your kid practice at home? No not really. So the only training they get is here at team practice? Yup just practice. I call bs on that. I guess parents want to give their kid the advantage so they dont reveal all the private training they are doing.

You have to have extra practices my son practice 4 times a week some times 3 if I feel lazy lol. 2 practices is never enough. parents had ask me if my son practice extra and I always tell them yes that is the only way to get better. that's what I think

2 practices is not enough at this level of competition. My son played on a team that practiced M&W and league games on Sunday. By the time Sunday came the team looked rusty on the field because most of the boys probably haven't touched a ball since the Wednesday practice. So I had him join a 2nd team that practiced on T&Th and games on Saturday. In just a week or two after the increase in play there was a significantly noticeable improvement. Now he is on a team that offers training M through F if your kid wants it. I'm always looking for new training opportunities for him like a private training session once a week. I have looked online and haven't found anything.

I definitely didn’t see that one coming. I knew the match would be close, but not that result. Was there anyone at that match that can provide some color/clarity on what took place? I’m referencing the Solar McKinney vs FCD Suarez matchup.

I watched the game. Suarez played a very physical game Borderline dirty depending who you ask. Refs let it play though, and that led to the final goal. I didnt even have a kid playing in that game and i could tell the refs were calling a very one sided match. But regardless, mckinney couldnt score. I know for sure solar had their starting center mid and captain missing. I remember seeing that kid play and hes a true difference maker. But hats off to suarez for showing up ready to play. If i am honest, they could have scored a lot more. Mckinney goalie made at least 7-8 great saves. If not for that, the game could have gotten out of hand

So when Suarez tied McKinney at King Tut, McKinney was missing his top two players. When they beat McKinney today in their fourth shut out of the season, McKinney was missing his top two players. Are these top two players imaginary? Suarez also lost his top scorer two minutes in when he was shoved to the ground and broke his wrist. McKinney was given six free kicks in the final minutes and couldn't get any of them in, and some of the calls were for flops. It was far from a one-sided called game.

Soccer mom. Congrats to your team lol. Like I said. I had no kid in that game and it was pretty obvious. But still, suarez showed up and played hard No need to get upset soccer mom. I was just giving my outside observation. Your team did what they had to do to win Why doesn’t suarez win any tournaments? I would like to see them in more tournaments. It was a very one sided game, honestly. To say FCD played near dirty is taking from the incredible game they played today. McKinney was given every opportunity possible from calls and could convert any of them into a goal. Both goals from FC Dallas came from great play, and were not the result of poor refereeing. Let's give credit where credit is due solar McKinney got out right beat today. FCD players were on every ball, if a solar player happened to win a ball he was quickly surrounded by at least three FCD players. There was no creativity and no sound opportunities from solar McKinney today. Hats off to coach Suarez and his 08 boys.

That was definitely bad reffing. Suarez kids got away with tons of fouls. The 2nd goal was completely the result of a missed call. Mckinney player got hammered from behind and ref ignored the line judge raising his flag for the foul. But definitely lets not take away from the great job suarez did As for lack if creativity,a missing srarting center midfileder will definitely result in that in my opinion. Just saying. But congrats to suarez. Mckinney did not look good today

Anyone who says that wasnt one sided reffing in favor of fcd suarez is clearly a suarez player. That was bad. If i was a mckinney parent i would be upset

Congratulations to FCD Suarez!! I tried to talk my wife and son into grabbing a bite to eat and go.back and watch the game but they wanted to go home. Man, I would have loved to watch McKinney get beat, haters going hate!! Again great job Suarez!!

Looks like Suarez has either beaten or tied McKinney in all of their last three meetings. It could be that coach Suarez just has McKinney’s number? I still think McKinney is the better team and will end up winning classic league, but some teams are just tough matchups for other teams. Congrats to Suarez. We shall see how McKinney rebounds from this. Any team can be beaten on any given day
