Looks like we may have to toss YSR out the window and just enjoy how this age group plays out week to week!

I agree. I think the the top 3 are accurate but who knows exactly after that. For starters, Texans beat Celtic 5-0 last week.

It's inaccurate for U13+ only because DA was a closed league and there weren't enough games outside of that bubble for the algorithm to take into account.
It will take a year, but I suspect YSR will eventually be quite accurate for the older groups.
Taking it as gospel at any age is a mistake. But it works pretty well as a guideline or as a conversation piece for crazy people on soccer chat boards. Certainly better than any available comparative tool.

That certainly was one reason. Definitely NOT the only one. YSR has a very difficult time tracking the name/coach changes, both inside clubs and between leagues and so forth. There are reams of inaccurate data assigned to the wrong teams.
