Looks good but what about Texas Spirit North?
Also, DT North looks better than ever. Their new additions have made them very strong.
My daughter is with Solar but honestly I would put Liverpool ahead of us based on their depth.
Solar will have their work cut out for them this weekend at Primetime. One of their superstars is out with a broken arm and their awesome fulltime goalie from SDL is no longer with the team.

Is everyone on vacation this week?

Now that my 04 dd has Hung up the cleats for some pom-poms(I know lucky me...and she wants to do competitive cheer...that means more $$$ than soccer and I don't get to at least watch football) I can now give my "unbiased" rankings! Hopefully my dd will miss soccer and want to play again. I'll keep her doing skills and see what happens...she is 6 yrs old and not ready for year around soccer!

1. LP Daglish- just believe me!
2. Solar Kennington
3. DT North- with the new Rowdy additions
4. DT South
5. Fever
6. Rowdies
7. Texas Spirit Red
8. Aztecs
9. Texas Black Gold
10. LP Beardsley- has 2-3 old Dalglish players.

Leaving Dalglish off this list as they are going to D2 in '03 so who cares about them,

1. DT North - This team has been on the recruiting trail, hell my DD might be playing for them before August! Expect to see 2 teams out of this group come fall
2. DT South
3. Solar Kennington
4. LP Beardsley
5. Aztecs
6. Fever
7. Texas Black Gold
8. Texas Spirit North
9. Solar Gold
10. LP Keegan (I hear they have added some crazy talent to this team according to a couple solar parents I talked to)
Circling the Drain - Rowdies (Top players are leaving this team like it is a ticking time bomb)

1. LP Dalglish - still the team to beat. unproven against top 04s, but their performance against decent 03 competition puts them on top.
2. DT North - strong additions. beat Solar Kennington twice in the last month.
3. Solar Kennington - good core of players will continue to do well.
4. Fever - recent good tournament results
5. Rowdies - in hiding but rumored to be losing players
6. DTS - close games with some of the top teams
7. TX spirit North - great talent but need more depth to move up
8-11. GSSC Thunder, Lady Aztecs, TBG, and Beardsley - in no particular order. these are too close to call.

Kudos to you Dad!! The '04 soccer world is going to miss her!! How about your '02? Any chance you could convince her to hang up the cleats too? Twisted Evil

I mean that in the nicest way of course!!

Think Mcik has it spot on but I'd say DT North are the closest to Dalglish.

June 04 Rankings Empty Re: June 04 Rankings

Post by footballfan 09/06/11, 02:14 pm

I'm not familiar with some of the teams but here is my rankings based on looking up the Primetime Tournaments and SDL results. (Not including 3v3 and indoor soccer - that's a different animal)

1. Solar Kenninton - Looks like they have 9 wins and 1 loss in their last two tournaments and were undefeated in SDL including wins against everyone on this list with the exception of their one loss to Daglish.
2. Liverpool Daglish - I keep hearing they are a great team. Next SDL season is when they will get a chance to prove how good they really are when they face D2 opponents playing up. They could prove to be phenomenal. Maybe Solar and DT North will play up in D2 also so we can really see who is better.
3. DT North - I can't find any tournament results for them lately. Lost 3 games in the last SDL season. Could prove to be the new top dog but they need to prove it in a tournament or in SDL.
4. Fever - Won a tournament in May and have beaten DT South twice recently.
5. Texas Black Gold - They are solid all the way around and have done well in recent tournaments.
6. GSSC - Beat DT South twice in Primetime League.
7. Dallas Texans South - Lost 3 games during their primetime season and also lost twice to Fever in a tournament in May. Appear to have all been close games. A few more solid wins could move them back into the top 5.
8. Lady Aztecs - have a tournament championship under their belt.
9. Texas Spirit North - Good athletes on this team.
10. Liverpool Beardsley - Recent tournament results have left a little bit to be desired but they are still a good team.
11. Tie between Solar Gold and Wizards

Do Rowdies still have a team? No tournaments? Players leaving? It sounds like they might not even be around by the fall.

Are Solar Kenn and DT North deep enough to compete in D2 03 division? Dont forget, it's 9v9 this season. Dalglish have a recent Tournament behind them with some good victories so I would say they are the team to beat. They have added some strong, fast players in recent weeks and are playing some great possession soccer. Still have a lot to learn but are a very strong opponent for any D1 or D2 03 team.

I agree losing the one player due to the broken arm will be seen this weekend for Solar. I don't think losing our goalie will effect us overall. There have been several girls step into this roll and have shown they are very capable of rocking the goalie position. We didn't have her in the last tourney and we still played great. Don't get me wrong the player in question is a great player and a huge asset to the team. It just not going to effect us overall I personally think. Losing you know who will effect us this weekend but I think we will still have a great weekend and show strong. It's a great group of girls that are all very talented with all of them being superstars.

There's a decent Odyssey team that should be considered. They had some success in primetime with some of the teams on your lists. they lost to dt south, but beat a solar, and i think tied with gssc and wizards. i'm not an odyssey parent and the coach seems like an a hole but the team deserves a little love based on their record. lets put em in at 10.5.

Typical response of a bitter parent. How many times have we all heard this? So the only reason DTN has been beating you guys is because they play kickball/cherry pick and you play the game the correct way. Give me a break. I don't know what game you're watching.

Of course indoor and outdoor have different rules/tactics but there is a STRONG correlation in terms of results. I'm actually a fan of Solar but if you want to keep it real, take away your top player and your team is bottom of D1. Don't be putting down other teams to make yourself feel better.

Have to say that Solar have one great player and several good ones. However, I think they are losing ground on Dalglish and DT North, which will become evident in the coming SDL season. If I had to choose who to watch, I'd prefer a Dalglish and Solar game, DT North don't play as attractive soccer as these two, although they are deeper and stronger than Solar.

Good analysis and probably the most accurate. Dalglish pound for pound pretty loaded followed by Solar and DTN scrapping for second. Both are decent teams (although agreed - a little over-reliant on 1-2 individuals). The coaching at both teams is also a little too excitable and erratic for my tastes however. Should be a fun fall season. Enjoy the summer !

I agree, the girls who have filled in at goalie have been awesome. I wasn't knocking them at all, just trying to give props to our old goalie who will be missed by her teammates. It was nice to have a full time goalie, but I realize that at this age it is better for them to split time at goalie so they can get plenty of time in the field also.
And I wasn't implying that the "broken arm girl" was our only superstar. We have a lot of superstars on the team but the "broken arm girl" is one of those players that is great at any position that the coach needs her to play.

Turnover will be at least 50% on almost all of these teams before they go Select.
At least 3-4 of these teams will be completely rebuilt or will disappear altogether before Select.
There will be at least 2 parent fights on the sidelines before these teams go Select.
I thought the 01's were crazy nutjobs..... but you 04's..................

Solar will have their work cut out for them this weekend at Primetime. One of their superstars is out with a broken arm and their awesome fulltime goalie from SDL is no longer with the team.

Is everyone on vacation this week?

I agree losing the one player due to the broken arm will be seen this weekend for Solar. I don't think losing our goalie will effect us overall. There have been several girls step into this roll and have shown they are very capable of rocking the goalie position. We didn't have her in the last tourney and we still played great. Don't get me wrong the player in question is a great player and a huge asset to the team. It just not going to effect us overall I personally think. Losing you know who will effect us this weekend but I think we will still have a great weekend and show strong. It's a great group of girls that are all very talented with all of them being superstars.

Please know I wasn't implying that you where knocking any of the players. I agree the old full time goalie will be greatly missed as she is/was good. It's sad to see her go but there are some great girls that are doing a great job at it too.

Oh no I know you weren't implying "broken arm girl" was the only super star because we both know there are several girls that have shown that they can & will make Solar a driving force on the field. She will be missed in this tourney that is for sure. Can't wait for this weekend as it will be a fun time.
