I do have a ? about how a win or loss is given when 1 team has a large number of guest players from a higher ranking team (all guest players from same higher ranked team)? Does the win/loss go to the team that was listed to play or the guesting players team that truly filled the roster?

welcome to the state of ntx soccer coupled with a club bent on appearance.
i watched a team today and saw 2 girls playing that i've seen play for 2 other teams in the same club
saturday to sunday i can sorta live with, depending on circumstances, but generally speaking, it skews things and is bad form.
what it does, however, is unjustly help elevate the perception of a team/club...which in turn helps in recruiting, potential ranking, etc.

Nice Jen. I love the wording of your question. Perhaps we as a group can include the # of guest players we are using for a game or tourney along with the score?

C'mon, get real....guest playing happens all the time in academy. A couple players couldn't make the last game, so a few came to help out. One of the players is the coaches daughter. Nice shot on the forum though.jen_nah wrote:DTN-2

In reality I would guess that your real annoyance stems from the fact that your dd's team was beat in every aspect of the game besides the scoreboard. The DT girls had two solid scoring chances the entire game and capitalized on both. Nice goals.
Other than that not a single shot on goal and not one corner kick for DT. Solar had 4+ corner kicks and multiple beautiful saves by your talented keeper gave you the win in this one. You were beat in posession as well.
You have a good classy coach over there. I certainly hope you are not the moron that yelled out something very immature to the solar players that had the coaches dd in tears.
And, oh, by the way....I heard you guys lost a good player today....or am I wrong?
Stay classy..........

Your funny that is all I can say. You must be one of the "guest players" parents.
I find it odd how your "team" had to use guest players due to a couple players not making but you had a very large number of Starks. Not just a couple as I counted 5 that I know for sure.
As for players being "out" if you know anything about DTN you would know that their goalie, 2 top defenders are out due to injuries & our top forward is in the goal box.
I also find it funny how your team supposedly possessed most of the game then why didn't you win? No shots on goal? Then why did your goalie have several punts/saves (which by the way I will give you where nice)? Not saying Solar didn't have scoring opportunity but our back up goalie did a great job today making some great saves. Let's get down to it Solar didn't not dominate that game period. Try to swing it all you want but that didn't happen.
As for losing a player today. I am not aware of us losing anyone but I am not the coach nor this supposed players parent. If so best of luck to that player. Our team is a full 16 roster we will be just fine either way.

Re: SDL and Primetime Scores 10/29
I don't have a dog in this fight..but I always laugh when I see the losing team pull out the 'we beat you every way possible except the scoreboard' angle.
That is so typical of teams that don't win games..coulda, shoulda, woulda. Sounds like a fun, entertaining game where both teams probably played hard and 1 team scored 1 more goal than the other.
IN OTHER WORDS...just like 98% of every other youth academy soccer game!!! The rest of it is just nonsense.

Re: SDL and Primetime Scores 10/29
Of course there is much more than the score. Really in developmental soccer there is more than the final score? Thanks!
And yet most times when a team doesn't win and post on here they run right to the 'we did everything but win' card to try and point out how well their team played.
If that is the case just point out all the wonderful things Team X is doing and how proud you are. Don't whine about the loss and try and say you outplayed them, dominated possession, had more shots (never got that one---shots could come from 30 yards out) along they way. You could just cut/paste these lines over and over and over again week after week...

I can see your upholding the reputation of your team. Fake fouls and terrible sportsmanship. I saw some of that game and counted two Dynamo players...the coach's daughter plays for both teams so I would say she doesn't count as a guest player. You are just mad you got outplayed by a team you obviously underestimated and your girls were just fortunate enough to get in two shots the keeper wasn't able to get to (one a free kick for a non-existent foul a girl took a dive on...no surprise with your team however, you do it all the time).

If you sensed some edge in my post it's probably because of the dumb comment that was yelled by one of the DT parents aimed at the 9 year old players on the field. To see tears in the eyes of a 9 year old girl that were caused by a parent from the opposing team taunting her. Would that upset you?

At what point was skills whining about a loss? I think he/she was defending a team of 9 year girls that played their little rears off but then was quite viciously attacked verbally at the end of the game by some parents from the opposing team and then now again on the forum.

Nice example for both teams of 9 year old girls you were today.
No body faking anything today. We only had 1 player go down during the game which wasn't called a foal as Solar got the drop ball back to the goalie. She got a knee to the stomach that knocked the wind out of her and they hurt. She was able to shake it off an continue playing. This was something very similar to the Solar player that happened when they scored their goal. She too got back up and continued playing. So how is that faking foals?
So your saying a bunch of 9yr old are unsportsmanlike? Please explain that one? Never saw anything that would warrant that comment. Both teams played a fairly clean game. Now my team has a reputation? WOW!!! That is funny again these are 9yr old little girls how brutal and mean can they really be?
You can whine about the reffing making bad calls it goes both ways all the time. The foal that resulted in our 1st goal was a good call as a foal occurred that caused us to lose advantage. Now I will say there was a foal called on Solar late in the 2nd half that shouldn't have been called as we didn't lose advantage but didn't result in goal. There where tons of hand balls not called today. Heck my dd didn't even play today. She is one of the several injured players out due to bad refing in a previous game. You don't hear me whining on here about it or calling the team out that made repeated dangerous plays that the ref didn't call. I don't even hold the player or the team accountable for the offense. I hold the ref accountable for not stopping it the 1st time. At the end of the day the refs are the officials and it's final like it or not. Every single team in NTX battles on a weekly bases refs they don't agree with. Better get used to it because it's not changing. From what I hear it only gets worse in select or per the long post in GD about LHGCL refs.

What did one of our parents supposedly say that upset a player? Because NONE said a single word to your team. We clapped at the end of the game and told all the girls "Good Game". Maybe she was upset over the lose but not because our parent said something because that is a down right not true.

I first and foremost have never verbally attacked any child and nobody on our team did either here on this forum or at the game. SS is just trying to start trouble b/c I asked a simple question. I never even said a team in my 1st post. I asked a general ?. It was SS that called the teams out.
