Not really going to get into this, but... The guest is a tremendous player and a great kid. It was fun this weekend. All I am going to add are a couple of facts and then Im done. Dalglish had 7 players score this weekend. 6 with multiple goals. It was an absolute all around effort for those 10 girls right down to the goal keeping. They moved the ball as a team and played like a team. Congrats to the Dalglish girls

Great player. great parents. Her Dad I think is the only one with video and DD ate half of her cheesburger so I would say it was a huge difference. I think she makes a difference anywhere and fits in great with the girls and the way they play. I have see kids come in and be disruptive to what the girls were trying to do and she was not. Fit like a glove. Don't care if we would have won or not. And sounds like maybe you should get better friends.

Yes, rather a silly question y'all. Looking at website, Dalglish scored 19 goals in 4 games . Of course, they would have won with their existing roster!
As go99 said, guest is a fabulous kid with great parents. She was always an outstanding player but having now seen her play on a team of girls of similar ability, it is clear that she needs to play permanently with Dalglish if she is to maximise her potential. Dalglish's pass and move style will really bring out the best in her and take her to a whole new level. cheers

Would also like to say well done to the Juve coach! Seems like a nice guy and coached the girls in a respectful manner. Good luck to them in the future!

Dalglish would have still easily won all of those games without my daughter. My daughter contributed a little bit, but they didn't need my daughter to win any of those games. None of the games were even close, although Juventus fought hard to the end. Daughter made lots of new friends and the parents were really nice. Great tournament in my opinion.

It was a great tourney. It was well run, and the weather for mid-November was awesome! sunny Plus, I really enjoyed watching the '04's---talk about a lot of talent to go around.

Great tourney by 04s. Congratulations to all teams for well played games. Would have wanted to have played Dalglish but I good Juve team beat us. Thats how soccer goes.

Extremely proud of the TBG girls. Showed alot of heart and reacted like champions in the face of adversity. The soccer gods owe us one.

As predicted, LP Dalglish easily won the Gold bracket. However, Bhamilton is right in stating that Dalglish didn't need his daughter to win this tournament but he is wrong in stating that she contributed a little bit. The Solar Kennington forward is a game changer and a player that makes a huge difference as soon as she steps on the field with both her speed and shooting ability.

Dalglish was good enough to win this tournament with the players they had this summer, so I am curious as to why they felt the need to go get arguably the best player in 04 soccer to help them in this tournament. Then everyone tries to downplay her abilities and contribution to the team effort. I've now seen her play four times since last spring and she is a difference maker, and for anyone to downplay that is ridiculous.

Congratulations to Dalglish on the championship and congratulations to bhamilton for having an outstanding soccer player as a daughter.

Thanks for the kind words about her. One of the reasons she played is because her best friend from school plays for Dalglish and she already knew several of the Dalglish girls from soccer camp. Dalglish had a smaller roster than usual for this tournament so this was a chance for her to play with her friends. (Her team wasn't playing this weekend). Including my daughter there were three subs which is just about right. I knew Lee before my daughter ever joined an academy team, so there was no bad intent on anyones part. Just letting the girls have fun. Many of these girls from opposing teams will play together at some point down the road so they might as well get to know each other now. But for the record, even if my daughter sat on the bench the whole time, the outcomes would still be the same.

And make no mistake, Nobody has downplayed anything. She is a great player and DID contribute this weekend. Aside from shooting, she made some beautiful diagonal passes that led to scoring chances as well. Great player. What everyone is saying, including Bham, is that the team should not be down played. They are very strong with her, as well as without her. The other kiddos deserve credit too. It was a great weekend and all of them had a blast. I know my DD did!

The Dalglish team has an outstanding player in every position. I agree, they still would have won without this guest player but in the game I saw, she seemed to fit into the system perfectly, which more importantly is a compliment to her intelligence. They are probably the best team in their age group at playing possession soccer which will make them even better next spring.

The man said all that needs to be said above. Soccer world is small and as they get older the world gets smaller. Again being #1 team at U8 means nothing. Do what is best for your child and please make sure they are having fun.

AFC Tournament Scores - Page 2 Empty Re: AFC Tournament Scores

Post by youthsports 14/11/11, 07:02 pm

I hope Dalglish now goes back to their pursuit of DT South Adames, SRSA and Juventus in the 03 world. LP Dalglish are the top dogs in 04 and I strongly believe that Dalglish will knock off one of the top 5, 03 teams sometime soon.

I believe, after watching the DT South Adames vs. Dalglish game this summer, that Dalglish needs one more attacking midfielder to really compete with the top 03 teams. The key question is where is that player? I haven't seen an attacking midfielder, like the DT South midfielder, in any 04 games this year.

I think adding this player is the key to Dalglish competing with the top 03 teams.

They have 3 or 4 midfielders that can score goals. I personally think they'll find it easier playing 9v9 again as their system is better suited to it. I know they have just added a new midfielder who can score and they have their little one that scores a number. Think their wide players will start scoring more regularly. I took my DD to see them and how they play the ball into midfield and then distribute wide. Think she may have learned something, who knows!

You are on drugs as much as i sorta despise SRSA and DtSouth, i saw the Danglish game cause my dd is a LP and we got pounced by DT South, but i don't know what game you were watching DT South dominated that game and the goal that was scored was with a wicked bouncing high ball, not taking anything away from LW team but common man.

If memory serves me right he "DT SOuth" coach had subbed out his starting Def line and was moving girls around when that goal happend. Cause i was thinking WTH was he thinking? lol

But im sure if LW was as confident as you he would have been putting his girls in same Tourny and Gold bracket with DT South and Juve and SRSA to compete with them now wouldnt' he? But that's why he's the coach and your just a parent or spectator ehh?

Yes losing to DTS by 4 goals is about as good as it gets, I agree.

SRSA has never had the opportunity to play Higg or Grubb, but it sure would be fun!! SRSA will never play their big sisters Solar Webb.

I would love to see those games played, SRSA 03 could beat those teams.
The only way they would lose is if they got muscled around.

That's exactly what would happen. 03 SRSA and DTS play better quality soccer than the top 01, 02, and 04's taking into account their age. However, they would be hard-pressed to beat 02 DT Higg or Grubb. The size and speed difference is just too great.

Is anybody else getting nauseated by the Dalglish love-fest on here? Whenever they win Moosh/MB and all his cronies get on here and brag and go on and on about how they are so many steps better than any other 04 team. When they lose, all the excuses come flying. I rank Dalglish tops but the annoying back and forth is sickening.
