Asking for a release deadline?

Is there a deadline on when we have to ask for a release to Rec? Someone today mentioned something about April. Anyone who truly knows, please let me know. Thank you.

April 1st is the deadline.

So what happens if you don't request by 1Apr? Not looking to go to another team, just be able to start rec when it gets going again, or indoor without the Almighty Select Coach approval.

You don't need approval or release to play indoor, even ntssa indoor, you can play.

I think you then just have to get permission to guest play for a few months. I was told that they set the deadline as April 1st because most rec leagues wrap up during the first couple of weeks in April. In order to "Release to Rec", there has to be a Rec league to release to!

Get a release by April 1. If coach will not sign a release, go to Ronda at North Texas Soccer (again by April 1) and she will grant it without the coach's permission. NTSSA wants you to go to the coach first. Get the document to Ronda for NTSSA signature ASAP.

If you definitely want to leave the team, do this and get it over with.
Otherwise, you must get permission from current coach to guest play or practice with other teams until June, then to guest play through June.
(Some coaches can be spiteful about this, so end the relationship immediately. Do so even if you have a good relationship with the coach to save time and effort later.)

After the release, North Texas Soccer will sign the guest player forms for you. You may practice with anyone who will have you.

If you register for a rec team, the home association must sign guest player forms and the coach must give permission to practice with club teams.
