I heard: Rase 13, Solar Armstrong 0.

don't keep track of the rase scores but that sounds about right. I know girls where moved all over the field into many different positions

First and right. Good call on the Spirit win. I thought my little inside knowledge of Spirit losing a couple of players gave me a bit of an edge on the call, but goes to show how much I know. Apparently they didn't miss a beat..

From what I have heard Armstrong is playing WAY up with the team he has.

Maybe it was a nice close Sunday league.

Saw a game like this yesterday. Coach of team winning by double digits made players have minimum of three passes in box before being allowed to take shot.

don't know about that,but its games like that whre you actually find out what you are made of. Missed the game but questions like who kept fighting? Who did well under increased pressure and a faster pace? Who dropped their heads and gave up? Heard there was some running after the game. Is that usual for that team?

I hate that running after the game cr*p! Sounds to me like the coach got in over his head. There's only a few 04 teams that can compete with RASE now IMO.

So let me get this straight. A coach takes his D2 team and decides to play them 2 divisions up and because the 9 year old girls give up after getting torn apart the coach make THEM run? That is some BS and would need to be addressed by all the parents.

Maybe the parents should make the coach run. Or maybe they all should run...away.

don't know if that was because of the loss or not. Seems a bit unfair to me. Maybe they always run after the game? Certianly would not be the first NTX coach to decide we may not be the best team but we will be the hardest working team. Anyone who knows feel free to chime in. You could always make a new login and make a first post. Make sure to add you don't have a dog in the fight or something to that nature

My DD's team played (and won) against them in a tourney a few weeks ago. I didn't see anything abnormal from the coach.. We didn't beat them 13-0 either.

hmmm well thats not very nice then. Just because they lost doesn't mean they should have been punished and doesn't even mean they are a bad team. The week before they beat an 03 team 10-0 and this week struggled to find the back of the net and barely won. Maybe RASE was just on another scoring roll. Now if a few other teams put double digits on them then they may be in over their heads

I don't normally chime in the 04 group, but I have some questions before passing a judgement...

What kind of running were they doing post game? A cool down across and back or sprints in the parking lot?

Also, I know many teams just pack the box against RASE, and this may be hard to answer at 13-0, but were they packing the box and getting creamed or were they trying to maintain space and just not good enough to hold a vastly superior team? What was the score at half (there is a difference between 3-0 and 9-0)?

The reason I ask is that is would certainly be demoralizing to lose every game by 13, but to be way over your head in 1 game and then to have to rise to the level against 7 other opponents (even losing games 3-1 or 4-1) might pay dividends if there is significant growth...If the next time they play it ends 5-0, then what? Did they grow?

I am not saying that they aren't in the wrong league...that may be the case, but that doesn't seem to be the issue here. It seems like people are critical without all the facts (at least from what I read).

BTW-NO dog in the hunt, just interested.

Anyone want to chime in on the running. I was told sprinting back and forth shorter distances so not a cooling down run however my source is unreliable as she reported the score as a gazillion to 0. Yes alot of teams seem to pack the box to slow down the scoring and I would rather see a team come out move the ball and try to play even when the result is not pretty. Again my source wouldn't know about the play as I recieved a better post game breakdown from my dd. But judging on her game analysis of "yeah they were ok" They didn't pack the box or man mark her as that usually draws comment like "annoying" "they just played defense"
