Is it Gerrard or is it Owen...can't add it to the FBR for both squads.

Combination team.... Just make them their own fbr team...they are playing 06 league...you might see more of them in the 06 age group this year.

It is split 50/50 with the number of players, so for naming purposes I can't really say one or the other.  Boilerjoe is right, they'll be named this for combined future games.  Although, if it makes it easier, since 07 Gerrard is playing 06s as well on their own, we can call the combined group Owen.  Your preference.

There was an incident at the end of the liverpool/kicks game I want to address. As I stated last week... there are 3 Kicks 07 players helping out the 7 Kicks 08 players. To say that kicks08 are cheating/lying is unfair to the core of the team. 70 percent of the team are 08s. I just had a feeling at the end of the game that some were angry that the liverpool team could only manage a tie against Kicks. Can we just let the kids play on the field and leave the trash talk out of it. Those 3 Kicks 07 players had a game before that and were completely exhausted as well.

Just take it as a compliment...

It wasn't going to be mentioned here.  Just bring the us club soccer ID cards that y'all didn't have today to the next game please.  As will we again.  And both teams had great games on the field.

You do realize that in a 7v7 game, 3 players constitutes 50% of your outfield so to represent the team as an 08 team when you have a minimum of 3 07s is what people have an issue with.

The Kicks 07s in most peoples view is probably the #1 07 team out there at the moment. Add 50% of the RASE 04s to any 05 team and see what difference that makes or SRSA 03s to any 04 team.

We also have 2 08s on the field at any given time so should we consider ourselves an 08 team too? I can promise you if I put my 3-4 best 06s on my 07s, it would look like I had a heck of a 07 team.

If you want people to stop taking issue, quit trying to sell the team as an 08 team when half of its outfield comes from the best 07 team in NTX. Problem solved.

So, if they change the team name to Kicks 07/08, would that have made a difference in the outcome of today's game?  

This from a coach that had an 02 guesting indoor with his 04 team.

Who's complaining about the score? Who said the score was non-reflective of the game?

And do you really want to make a comparison to an indoor league where an 04 team played up in an 02 league and had 3 05s on the field also along with the 02 who played a total of 3 games as a sub?

The 3 kicks07 players already played before that game, so they were at the most 60percent what they normally are. Don't disrespect the core kicks08 team that held their own today.

Not disrespecting anybody, I think you're missing the point. I think probably your 08s would tear a new one into the limited number of 08 teams I've seen and obviously, most of the 07 teams with little doubt. I'm just saying, given for a proportion of the games you have 50% 07s, 50% 08s outfield, wouldn't it be more accurate just to call it 07/08? I'm not saying go the full hog and call it 07s. Check my previous posts on here and you'll see I've always given a lot of cred to your Kicks teams. I just think given the quality of the 07s in question, it's a little misleading and you know what I said re. the RASE 04s, SRSA 03s, etc. would cause the same comments from many people.

You've played more teams across DFW than we have so you know where your 08s stand in what they contribute. We have no clue if we're even a top 20 07 team as we've only played PT West and some indoor at Stampede. And again, where have I or anybody else questioned the outcome/score of the game? 1-1 is what it is. 8-0 either way and it's worth discussing.

Agree with wolf.  It's like taking a "07" labeled team to play '06 and having half the team be top '06s.  Very misleading and inaccurate.
I use this example, which parallels the above, as I've seen this happen in the '06 leagues playing against "07s."

I requested it was removed so there wouldn't be a drama fest here on these boards(too late obviously). I'm not sure how the events made it that far 'east' and honestly don't care.
The usclubsoccer cards were requested prior to the game even starting. Our referee directed me to the primetime field manager to handle it. It took three requests prior to completion of the game for them to come over to find out your manager who had your cards wasn't present at the game. The results of the game had nothing to do with the request to see the cards.

One of the Kicks 07 Players is the goalie. So. ....... at any given time, only 33percent of the players on the FIELD are 07s. Once again, I don't think your giving the 08s the credit they deserve.

Oh and btw.. The manager was having a baby shower today, so that's why the cards weren't readily available. Look out for Kicks14. Lol.

As long as the RASE players are playing in an 04 league/tourney or SRSA players in an 03 league/tourney, why would it matter?
For those who take issue with a team name and how they classify themselves, perhaps you have bigger issues.

Curious what the missing posts are? But regardless maybe I am missing something.....Are the Kicks 07/08 team playing in an 07 league?

If so really?- who cares they are not playing down. I say just play your schedule and develop your own girls- I doubt very much the girls care or are questioning the birth year of the other team. Maybe this is more meaningful as you approach select, but that is forever away.

If there is some major concern several more teams in various age groups need to also astrick their names. That said I agree cards or other legitimate roster evidience should be on hand to make sure girls are not playing down, but it does not sound like that is much of a concern here.
