Maybe their Superstar was having a bad day and the goalie was having a great day... But the 2 previous games were close as well. Think they are evenly matched and don't worry Rush would eventually lose to one of the top 5 09 girls teams if they decide to play them. They are good but not SRSA 03 over the top.

Wow, seems you don’t think much of Rush!

If you had seen SRSA 03 play at this age you would know. My daughter's team was ranked #2 or #3 and we went in positive hit the half down 2-0 then got destroyed 12-0 and they were passing the ball back to the goalie trying not to score and still did. So not that I don't think much of Rush it's just we have parents that think they are all that so I assume they haven't seen what all that looks like.

Granitza12 is a Rush parent (I think) and he said a key player for Rush wasn't there (maybe it wasn't #15) so I believe him. It's just one game so it doesn't matter but I think so many were curious about this one game b/c we wanted to see if Rush leaving the '09 age group was justified. Both teams are really good. Probably need to see Rush play a few more against top '09 teams. Kudos to the DT goalie and kudos to Rush for the win. Have a great night everyone.

I wonder if they will play 09 in the spring! I’m not one of the parents that think they are all that, anyone can beat anyone on any given day, that’s why you play the game. I didn’t catch yesterday’s game cause we did not play them. We have played them and they are tough and pass the ball well. Right now soccer is fun, but I’m sure that will change soon.

Agree with much of the sentiment shared here. Both those teams have some impressive talent for the 09 age. It will be fun to watch them and those on other teams develop as the seasons go on.

One observation I've had lately is that it seems some of the other mega clubs have a lot of talent at this age group, but they are mostly scattered about on multiple teams, e.g. FCD (not my dd's club). Once they start consolidating those tall, physical players, who are presumably developing their skills as they go, it's easy to see how the competitive landscape will continue to evolve. Of course, how many of those will stick with soccer in lieu of other sports, especially where height and athleticism are also coveted (v-ball, b-ball)?
