Daglish waits on Mustang v Andromeda Blue game 12:30
What does Daglish need and where does that put them?
Need Mustangs to lose or tie.
If Mustangs win LP Daglish has to hope 12 points is enough to get one of the 4 3rd place spots in DIII
What if Mustang win is only 1-0 as was LP's win over Andromeda? What would be the tie-breaker? Am I correct that they would be statistically tied?

If all fourth place teams are eliminated and the lowest three three third place teams, then LP Dalglish is in D3 due to the fact that there are at least three potential third place teams that have 0 or 1 point. Max points in their next games does not put them ahead of LP Dalglish. The interesting bracket is bracket f. Stark has to have a big game just to make lake highlands and Andromeda is playing for a second place d3 qualifying spot and perhaps a D1 spot if Fort Worth FC can pull off another tie. Both games are happening at the same time on side by side fields. I bet you could cut the tension with a knife out there.
So your saying any team in any bracket higher then 12 will automatically make it in to LH?

Not necessarily. Should be true for all third place teams though. I was trying to settle the LP Dalglish/Mustang questions.

12 points will get you in. You already have 2 3rd place teams that finished with 8 points and you have one that has 1 point and another with 0 so the best they can do is 11 and 10 ponts. So 11 is the number with the right tie breakers. So LP Dalglish is in. Congrats.

I was there to watch stark play and stayed for the Gio-Saints.
Gotta say Gio totally dominated that game from start to finish....

Congrats to Gio. They were first to the ball, had a good game plan, and drew the keeper out and kicked over her head. A bit of gamesmanship in the 2nd half, with Gio subbing at nearly every throw in to slow down the game ... but they earned the right by scoring 3 goals up front.

I can honestly say Gio's keeper touched the ball maybe 3 times if that.

Maybe most are classy but what we witnessed yesterday was NOT classy at all! After a Dynasty WIN, a dad was cussing out his 10 year old DD in front of everyone. My whole family saw it and we felt so sorry for the little girl who was totally defeated. He was yelling at her about something she did the first play of the game - really??? They won - why beat down your dd after a win? So, not all those parents are classy!

Round Robin playoff next weekend.
Just Kidding
According to the QT Tie-Breaker rules posted on the LHGCL website, it comes down to goal differential, which if I'm reading the results correctly, DT Red gets the last spot in D3 with a GD = -1

Weren't they basically a point or so away in week 1 from winning a spot? That's a tough one. Super coach for sure

I am so disappointed for them. My dd has several friends on Stark's team. They are easily a top D3 team.
Yes, In weekend 1 they only needed to tie Renfro for the #1 spot. I heard a bad ref call cost them the game. It allowed Renfro to score the winning goal. This weekend it was the death bracket Gopher talked about. All 4 teams in that bracket deserved to be in LH but knew 1 wouldn't make it. It just happened to be them.
I wish the best of luck in PPL qualifying and a great season and I hope they come back strong next summer and prove that they deserved a LH spot.

Re: QT Weekend 2 Scores
*Solar Stark (as mentioned) was a goal/call away from qualifying in D-1 last weekend--now they are completely out.
*Fort Worth FC went from being lightly regarded to holding Solar Stark & Andromeda to 0-0 draws
*Andromeda doesn't give up a goal all weekend, yet still is in D3 Had numerous chances to score a lot of goals in all 3 games, they just didn't finish until the Solar Stark game.
*Liverpool Thompson was on the brink of not even making it to qualifying this weekend (needed a 1-0 win in their last group game last week to survive) to D1 after having a draw with Andromeda, beating Stark on a PK and then beating FW FC handily. Congrats to LP.
I will echo what was already said...parent groups of all 4 teams were classy given all the pressure and tight games. I feel really bad for the kids of Solar Stark--they are certainly good enough to play LH but they got on the wrong end of a couple key games at the wrong time.
I for one am ready for a break from group of death soccer games!!!!

LP Thompson played horribly the first weekend of QT...and was nearly DQed as a result. It was not our normal standard of teamwork and creativity. Something seemed to click the second weekend, the girls played the game like they did in the spring, and pulled themselves out of the hole as a result. I would say we deserve to be in D1, but only because our past performance shows we can hang with the big dogs, not because of our performance this weekend. I think the same is probably true of Solar Stark, except the click didn't happen when it needed to. I have seen them play several times in the past, and it was not what I saw this weekend. I was shocked, because that's not how they normally play. It must have been a poorly times hiccup (versus our hiccup, which was well timed...or lucky, depending on which team your dd plays for, lol). If that team can survive this, they will dominate PPL D1 and be back next QT with a vengeance and a point to prove.

Re: QT Weekend 2 Scores
I feel bad for Stark's team. They are a good team and deserve to be in Lake Highlands for sure. And yes if they had tied the game they would have gone into D1 but they didn't even come close to winning that game.
Love the blame it on the refs...I think every team could say they got a bad call or two in any game over the past two weekends, I saw plenty of missed or bad calls, but I did not see the missed call in this game that would have saved Stark from the loss. Just my opinion.
