04 Labor Day Tournament

Hint... Hint... it is all about the quest for #1...

sorry to disappoint you guys but thats how rankings are done. Check la liga, premier leahue and other soccer league, they all do it the same way. It's only one week. After labor day spirit can come out and run the score up on defeeters and hope for a elite loss or close game. It's only a 2 goal differential to make up. But spirit WAS #1 on the FBR soley by default of Elite not having enough 04 games. They were number 1 seed (not the top finisher) in QT soley by Elite not wasting time and money at the pre QT tourney. But Academy is over and it's no longer what you did in the past it's what you do now. Beginning of the season it was alphabetical order. After week 1 it is ranked and after week 2 it will be ranked again and so on. Everybody gets a shot to get it done on the field. But I tell you what TX spirit can have the ex #1 back in academy fbr spot and they can hold on to that for all time.

Did you leave out GotSoccer on purpose?

Feel like we're cheating though. It didn't take the '03s over a year and two seperate tournaments to take the record. I thought we would take it around QT.

Umm you are not looking at the current rankings
bracket 1 has 17, 3, 5, and 15
bracket 2 has 7, 4, 8 and tsc kitterman

Bracket 1 is top and bottom heavy so could produce 2 teams

Umm....neither are you.  Elite is in first place (standings, not rankings) of LHGCL due to (at your own admission) running up the score in their one and only game.  If you want to talk rankings, and (at your own admission) FBR is no longer valid, then lets look at Got Soccer.  Texas Spirit 04 appears to be ranked #1 in North Texas and #1 in Region 3.  If I am reading things correctly, Elite is not even in the same Tier as Texas Spirit in the National rankings.

Feel free to claim first place in your league, but to claim the number one ranking is just......wrong.

What team are you affiliated with Eddie?

Wow. LP Premier got a favorable draw this weekend. Will not have to play their sister team until the finals and will also avoid playing the top 2 teams in the very tough Bracket 2 unless one of them can get by Elite. Very convenient to not have to play a top team until the finals. Go99, I smell another LP conspiracy with this draw. If it is offensive to the other teams in Bracket 1 then prove something by beating Premier (like Scott and stinky feet have done recently).

That works for me. Can use gotsoccer for the rankings and the league for standings. But you can't use an old fbr for anything. So by your example he wasn't looking at the current rankings either. So I guess what you are saying is that elite is the number 1 team in lake highland girls classic league. I dont have the gotsoccer rankings so will take your word for it that spirit is currently ranked #1 in ntx. Too bad spirit isn't playing this weekend it could cost them that ranking you guys are fighting so hard for

Yep perfectly orchestrated by me. The two teams will meet in the finals and then have a ice cream party just to crash the txsoccer.net servers. The only way you guys can stop my perfect plan is to stop one of the teams before they make the finals

I would like to have a small take in this quarrel...
Not myself but you how many disappointed chums are going to be sulking if Elite wins LHGCL this year...undefeated and without a tie?! But ohhh Lordy, if there be a tie or heaven forbid a loss and still the title... Those same chums gonna be dancing in the street. If TX Spirit makes it to Elite without a blemish on their record (which I doubt)...it's going to be broadcasted live on ESPN6...whatever team keeps Elite from a 0loss 0tie 19win season may not be #1 but will definitely be crowned peoples champ...in my book.

Eddie made a point in response to GO comment and 2 other poster are like."but who do you play for wha wha wha"... Who cares it was a good point and we all know where GO stands.

U know what's funny...Tecate is the only notable TXSpirit parent that posts and he has yet to really boast or brag, yet the instigators are working the Elite parents causing all kinds of uncharacteristic barbs getting tossed...chill that out Go and others, we know it's gonna be a while before you get to taste any Spirit Clark blood.

Actually I think everyone is missing the real discussion here. What does the #1 ranking get you? Diddly squat! Spirit isn't even in the tournament. The way it looks Elite isn't even the #1 overall seed. How is LP Premier the #1 overall seed? That's what I want to know. I don't have a problem with bracket 2. What doesn't make since is the paths to the finals. Who seeded this thing?
