Official '06 FBR Oct. 2nd

Current Rankings include game results from 8/16/13 through Present Date

A few notes:

1) There is a team out there we do not speak about, you guys can guess who!

After much discussion with the Dark Master (BW) the match between Dallas Kicks Academy 06 and FCD Roach has been removed from the FBR. This was done for statistical purposes. It was skewing the points totals for each team based on the Avg. Weighted Wins category and the SOS (Strength of Schedule).
As you will see from the updated FBR there has been some movement with this removal. So this IS where we stand as of now. Much thanks to BW for the mentoring as I wade my way into this DARK DARK forest. haha
If JM over at Kicks decides to test the 06 waters in tournament season and the date of the Roach match is still in the 16 week window it will be added back to the schedule of completed games.

2) The teams currently listed in the FBR rankings have been confirmed as registered to play in an '06 division of a girls NTX academy league or Tournament for Fall 2013, AND, have a minimum of 3 games played against other '06 opponents in the past 16 weeks.

3) There will be movement up and down by teams as the season progresses (some being significant) as league play wraps up and teams are reassigned Tier rankings. By the holiday break from league and tournament play we will see a solid set of data and a firm FBR.

4) If you do not see your favorite team they either have less than 3 games vs. '06 competition or have no game data reported. PMs with scores are welcome and all anonymity will be kept.

Hmmm..with the lack of comments, Bo you must be spot on!! That is pretty good for your first offical FBR. Or maybe all the 06s pract on Weds, and the complaints will come in when people go to work today.

Im sure there will be complaints, there will always be complaints. Nothing is perfect and FBR still needs more data before it really starts to solidify.

With tournament season in Nov/Dec/Jan we will see some cross Tier play that will really help.

There are a ton of squads that are not currently listed, so if you dont see your squad shoot me the scores and we can get them added.

Borussia - Good job! I think, as a first/early ranking, your model is well done. You are spot on as the fall leagues and tournaments are completed your model should give us a very good look. Thanks for your work!

Looking forward to this weekend's top 10 match up of #7 Sting West - Davis vs. #8 SRSA Missimo. Sting West will be hungry after their 8-1 loss to Barnes. SRSA is coming on strong and trying to position itself to compete to win the division. All we need now is ESPN Game day crew to cover the game! :-)

Actually, I am happy the ESPN Crew is in Evanston preparing to watch my Northwestern Wildcats try to upset the mighty Ohio State Buckeyes. Go CATS!!

Well done Borussia. Thanks for the hard work.

While I know for a fact that some teams are too low/too high, things will most certainly work themselves out once more games are played.
I do however have one question. Why is Kicks the de facto #1? Sure they haven't lost to another 06 team, but they would have to actually play another 06 team for that statement to be completely accurate.

Kicks is in FBR and their one match against an 06 squad was vs. FCD Roach during the recent Plano Labor Day Tournament. It was a 6-0 win for Kicks. FBR has Kicks as #1 by a whopping 40+ points over Roach.

So, even the data supports it.

It was made "worth it" this morning. Its the wife's birthday today, what does she ask... "So where do "we" rank on FBR?" HAHA

All the looks she has been giving me, "eyeballing" me to death... and then she asks that! hahaha

This will shake out over time because the team my 06 is on is average to below average and they are in the top 30.

Either the majority of 06's are a bunch of average to below average teams, not enough teams are reporting scores or there are too many teams and each team is watered down like the NBA.

There about 20-30 not currently listed on here because of lack of scores. That being said, the top 12 is a rather accurate depiction if we were to talk real world.

I think every age group is too watered down because of the number of teams the clubs put on the ground for the $$$.

One thing the data doesn't support is 05's playing with an 06 team in Plano Labor Day Tournament. And still calling itself an 06 team.

My DD doesnt play for Kicks, but I watched that match, 1 '05 playing the field for a portion of the match wouldnt have changed the score line, now maybe JM should have left the squad playing in their regular positions in the second half. I believe the score was 4-0 before the 05 even stepped onto the pitch, but who is counting!! haha

The debate has raged for yeas because of guess players, and it will rage for years to come until it is not allowed and I dont think any of us see that happening. If they did how would any of our DDs get those extra touches in, RIGHT?

I think magic does bring up a valid point though. Players playing "down" is somewhat different than "guess" players. Even if from Borussia's account, the 05 didn't affect the game. Not sure a game where an older player played should count.
How did the coach moving players around affect the game? Was the 05 moved to forward in place of an 06? Just curious.

Wasn't the '06 Kicks team playing in the '05 division? I thought that these games didn't affect the '06 rankings at all. Were there other '06 teams playing up in this tourney, those results counted towards the FBR, and that is what all this is about?

Kicks, solar armstrong, and FCD Roach were all playing up in the 05 group. Games against 05 squads dont count, head to head matchups against 06 teams do. Kicks and Roach squared off in group play.

Doesnt matter one way or another if they are unlisted #1 or not. They are still out there and havent been beaten

Yes our Aguero squad is not listed and yet won the league in UAL last season. We decided to play up in CFBSA in the 05 bracket. Borussia just keep doing what your doing and don't worry what others say

I guess that's my point...I was told they had more than 1 05 on the field, which is common practice for that club/team. Was also told that Roach was pure 06 playing up.

Not taking anything away from Kicks - they are quality. Just wondering if they have even played as an 06 vs an 06 within the FBR parameters.

I know, time will tell and sort all this out as they'll all eventually meet up. And BTW, Roach is way too high. Smile

Must have been some games this afternoon…..some teams falling more than 10 spots and some jumping up likewise. Totally changes my plans of where I am taking my dd for practice today. Good thing I got the update lol!

Give it a couple more years grasshoppa. The mean mugging will turn into outright confrontation, and you'll have to sneak your FBR time in on late nights when boss lady isn't looking. I speak from experience!

Good job picking up the torch, and continue to keep BW on retainer and your methods will be beyond reproach.
