Rumor !?!?!?

Any substance (or fuel ) to the rumor that an 02 Sting team may be making a club change on the left side of the compass rose ?

Somebody is defecting to West Germany??

If you are going to spread a rumor, then spread it with a bit more clarity please. Factual accuracy is really important - especially for unsubstantiated rumors.

Rumor.
Someone obviously looking to stir the pot or speaking out of....lack of information, to put it nicely.

Sting Team is headed to the Dallas Texans to create a monster ECNL team.

No need to move when Sting already possess the better foundation for ecnl than the texans. Wouldn't make sense....unless you wanna stir the pot too. Both sting teams in question are doing just fine in the off-season.

sting already had monster ECNL team- they've proved that with like 12/13 girls all spring and no loses. I actually think they have done better with smaller numbers. If they merge with anyone it should be FCD- that would be a killer team.

Guessing there will be movement both ways. Assuming the 'Q' relationships are influencing, but would also expect that there will be movement from Red to Blue due to Higgy.

Not a chance that DT South will be THE ECNL team. ZERO! Dallas Texans brass will run the ECNL out of "home" base and install a coach. Some DTS may have a chance to get on the squad. That's all, just a chance. So, let the movement, jockeying and giving of wedgies begin.

Ok folks, lets get back on track. The movement rumored has nothing to do with ECNL. Obviously no good intel here. I knew that title would spark some views.

Huh? Where was DTS mentioned that prompted this post?

With Q at Texans, there will be some defections from Sting Brown to Texans 02 based on established relationships Q had when he was with Sting.  May be 5-6 players on the current roster will move over to Texans.  Each of these players along with their parents will make the best decision for themselves.  The question is whether these players from Sting will get playing time on the field.  If Stark is the coach, the new players will be bench warmer for most of the year.  Stark has been totally loyal to his core players even if that loyalty has not been the best thing for the team.  Again, warming the bench is not the ideal thing to do just one year from trying out for ECNL!  The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence until you get over to the other side.  That's when you find out that it isn't too green after all.  The basic fact of life does apply to soccer too!

To add to the RUMOR MIX, how does a PPL D2 team, Dallas Texans 02 Red get a Bye into LHGCL?

Rumor is partly true. Already one player left Brown over the weekend. Lots of parents talking here. I know there's a group of 4-6 that were Q's darlings and will definitely leave. I know we will probably leave come June 1st. Very sad to see this team fall apart.

Yes.  It is sad to see a team breaks up but it may work out better if these players find spots on other D1 teams that help them develop and make it to ECNL next year.  It was a tough situation for the players to be in, starting with Higgy joining Sting and practically taking over the ECNL spot from Sting 02 Rezaie.  Then Q left in the middle of the season and abandoned the players to whom he had preached so much about loyalty and commitment.  To top all those bad news, the new coach Beau Brown got suspended and couldn't coach the team during LH games.  So the girls have gone through a lot so they deserve the best of luck and fortune because they are practically kids who have put in their sweat and tear for this team.  I hope they would continue to enjoy playing soccer and to get better.  Who knows but may be in one year when everything is settled this may be a gift that Q left them so the girls are free to move on and learn a different brand of soccer. GL to Sting 02 Q/Brown/??? girls!

Although I appreciate all of this "discussion", unfortunately none of this has anything to do with the rumor I was asking about. Guess that tells me the rumor is possibly just that and nothing more.

One of the things that really bothered me throughout the year is the fact that we have a group of parents here who think and act as if they're better than the rest. They form a separate group and won't talk to the other parents. This in turn trickles down to the girls and they do the same thing. My DD tells me that there's a group of players who won't talk to the others. This is not a good developing environment for a team in trouble already. We were told by Beau that this team has potential for a Premier league only. We were shut down about any ECNL possibility. He was suspended because he used an ineligible goalie for one of his teams and got caught.

Well.....if they're going to defect to West Germany, they're going to need to travel back in time first....'bout 25 years should do it. It's not a rumor....it's true.....I did build a time machine.

Hate to tell you bud but that's on practically every team. The big ones at least. FCD have two above the rest and a group of follower parents.. The two at FCd are clearly heads n shoulders abode get rest n the following parents want to be along for the ride. Higgy is the same but the players are not consistently above the rest- but you got mgr and parents running the show in both cases not the coach. These coaches fear benching so called top kids for fear of parental backlash n the people who might follow along. Hard truth. Don't try to break into that circle , that part of soccer isn't about " the game"

That statement is pretty naive. Stark, like any other coach, will play the best player for each position. Having said that, given his possession style preference, new girls may take some time getting used to the way they play. That would not take more than a couple of months over the summer.

I find this whole thing laughable. Are people not educated? First, a TEAM does not become the ECNL team, so for Sting Brown parents to pout is ridiculous. If your DD is good enough, they can make the ECNL team. And it won't be Higgy's team anyway.

Secondly, BB is one of the most successful coaches year in and year out, as most if not all of his teams are Premier League. What's not to like about that? Not everyone can or will make the/an ECNL team. Blind and foolish to think otherwise.

The real issue? Those parents. That group eats their own more than any I've seen since my '97 started her LH career. Somebody got it right when they said Q pampered those parents.

You have a top coach in the club. Foolish perspective if this is really the case. Or are others just trying to stir the pot....
