I find this whole thing laughable. Are people not educated? First, a TEAM does not become the ECNL team, so for Sting Brown parents to pout is ridiculous. If your DD is good enough, they can make the ECNL team. And it won't be Higgy's team anyway.

Secondly, BB is one of the most successful coaches year in and year out, as most if not all of his teams are Premier League. What's not to like about that? Not everyone can or will make the/an ECNL team. Blind and foolish to think otherwise.

The real issue? Those parents. That group eats their own more than any I've seen since my '97 started her LH career. Somebody got it right when they said Q pampered those parents.

You have a top coach in the club. Foolish perspective if this is really the case. Or are others just trying to stir the pot....

That team won't fall apart, it will come together. Parents who think they have earned or are good enough for ECNL will leave, and those that are content with USYSA will stay, play premiere league, and be successful. From looking at his older teams the coach seems to keep his squads in the top. Kids will line up to be on a top D1 squad, nothing is falling. Trust that.

Shut down about any ECNL possibility?? --seriously? Please see the forum 01 ENCL postings by FCD, Solar, and DFeeters....OPEN TRYOUTS. Come on, seriously you aren't this naive. ECNL is the the best of who is trying out in that coaches eyes, they could care less who played where, and for how long. If your kid is top talent in the coaches eyes, they will make an ECNL team.

If he's so succesfull, then why cheat? Why breaking the rules when you know they're there for a reason?

No idea what your talking about. I am certain there is more than just what you are spewing here, and really I don't care. He isn't my coach, or my team. I just looked at the way his older teams finished up to gain some perspective to his coaching ability. You sound like a bitter parent, move on. I am sure the team will continue on just fine. Sometimes it is hard to see what is best when you are in the trenches. Good luck on your next team.

After very little investigation: it was a player pass violation, and you can't suspend the team manager for missed paperwork. It was his 96's team I believe Maggie^2

No idea, that would be more your area of kid age knowledge than mine. I just asked the question instead of attacking the coach.

7 gone, 7 to go. This team will either be absorbed somewhere or it will be a completely different group of players. It'd probably be reassembled. Somebody's got to pay Coralli's gambling debts.

I thought we could hold until June 1st. Nope. Depressing as hell. Like rats on a barnfire, everyone is getting out. Even the manager. I don't see 'kids lining up to play for this guy' I'm sure he means well and wants to build a good team for next year. But the core is gone and there's absolutely no way this team can compete at the same level. They'd be lucky if they can stay on DI next year.

Curious speculation...would Sting recruit to fill the roster under BB...or move one of their three D2 teams into that bye and re-shuffle the deck (i.e., backfill the D2 bye).

If the club wants a competitive team in D1, it probably makes sense to move up one of the DII teams, most likely Sting Dunstan. They would have a much better chance of competing vs a team of random girls scraped together that haven't played as a team. They can always backfill the DII bye with new team or one of their other existing teams.

Just speculation, but if Sting Dunstan moves to DI then does Sting build a new 02 team to backfill D2 or do they bring up an 03 team?

They had a similar situation in the 01s last year for Sting Central and they kept 2or3 01 players then brought in 02 players to complete the roster. I don't think that worked out very well for anyone.

Word is top 4 higgy studs will double roster and help second STING team stay in D1. Higg might even pick up extra girl increasing roster so pad for missing girls. If you think it , the only few comp. games for top team are 3or 4 games. This may work until Sting gets more talent

I'm sure Sting Doesn't want this info out until July 1st . Deny deny deny wait and watch

It seems that your DD has left the team.  Don't be bitter and just let it go!  No need to worry about Sting Brown team when you have decided that the team is not for your DD.  Focus on your DD and her new team.  Sting as a club has been around for a long time (before most of us have DD playing soccer) and has had a history of success.  Sting has capable coaches and proven system to put together quality teams every year.  What happened to Sting Q/Brown 02G team is unique and unexpected but Sting will do what it needs to do to keep this team in D1 after this coming season.  If they don't get enough talent for Sting Brown 02G, Sting will pull some players from Sting Higgy to win enough games to stay in D1.  Big clubs with multiple teams always do whatever they need to do to protect their interests.

Good luck to your DD.  Just hope she will continue to enjoy playing soccer and make it to ECNL next year.

True that they may do that. However there are quality Sting players on four other Sting teams other than Higgy that could help out that team just as well.

Honestly, the best Sting players are on the best Sting team, no offense. they'd be the ones able to help out in the greatest capacity.

Player pass is possible, but it allows for one game a day.

I think you are correct.  The girls would not dual roster - that's more an ECNL thing.  See the '01s thread about some ECNL clubs trying to field ECNL teams and keep their D1 byes.

I think the first poster that mentioned Sting girls "double rostering" meant that Sting would freely use CPP to put the girls where they would best benefit the club - letting impact players move back and forth each week depending on the strength of the opponent.
