interesting games this weekend. Specially Andro West and Mutiny. What I saw of it was a mugging

It would have been nice for the officials to take control of the game so the girls could play soccer.

They are probably the two best teams in D1. Maybe they got carried away battling for top spot. Have seen both teams play and am surprised to hear it was a slugfest. Sounds like refs could have put a stop to it. Unfortunate that they didn't. Glad no one got hurt and hopefully game is better when they meet again.

It was really bad. Refs just let it go. Girls were shoved to the ground from the back, tripped, clotheslined...no calls. It was not just one team doing this but should never have happened. Coaches should have stopped the game. I also saw the Saints/Spirit game. Saints looked really good. Right behind them was Owen/Rush. When I saw them Rush playing with 9/ injuries with girls with ice packs on the sidelines. The game got very lopsided. Owen was as always classy and doing allot of passing could of been worse.

I saw part of the Saints / Spirit game also. Saints looked good! That is a great group of girls and parents!

Saints vs. Spirit game was an MMA fight. The Refs let the game get out of control. Spirit had 1 girl end up getting a fractured wrist because of a push to the back. Hate to see girls get hurt. PPL needs to evaluate the Refs that called this game to prevent future problems. Overall Saints team scored some good goals and won the game. Looking forward to week 3.

Texas Spirit Dad - I'm a Saints Dad and couldn't agree with you more. I've found that the officiating at Carpenter Park seems to be worse than at Russell Creek. The smaller fields don't help either and there's less space to open up the game. If the officials don't do a better job controlling these games, they will get out of control. That game was competitive until the end. Good luck this season!

Sorry to hear that to all the teams that are dealing with this. The first priority should be the safety and health of these soccer players. Sad when the Refs that get paid by those teams, not PPL - don't care.
