Yours is one logical BUSINESS decision that could explain it.

Another is leveraging him to his highest and best use for the club.

He has a demonstrated ability to build top level pre-select teams, hold them together, and take them select. Tough to continue to do that time wise with his current load. Just frees up time for him to work to his strength again.

It's a plausible hypothesis however I've heard from more than one source that this was 100% LW's decision. The general consensus also seems to be that the RAISE group is notoriously miserable and never satisfied. If you join the dots you could see why coaches would eventually say enough is enough.

LMAO thats the best you can get? In response to why DTS was not put in the top with those other teams in the rankings I give a reasoned well thought out response that was my opinion. And no point did I bash DTS in there I gave a reason why they weren't ranked highly. Out of all the post you come back with NOTHING as I expected. Again my perspective hasn't really changed all that much. So far tx spirit is doing worse than I expected and with DTS racking up another tie already is about were I expected. DTS will finish top 5 but not in the top 2 you have to put together more games than a tie against Elite (see the red) So keep looking, no DTS bashing in there. And for the record I still post with no humility and a strong opinion. Now if you guys manage to finish top 2 I will be the first to say I was wrong and congratulate you.

I have no problem with the taking the good with the bad. I find the speculation and rumors for "sources" entertaining. The problem is with the pretense that it comes from some desire to "know" or a wish to be informed. It doesn't and people don't actually care about a coaching change or the reasons why. What they want is anyting to confirm whatever it is they already want to believe about the team, parents, coach, or club. So unless your source comes from LW or someone from the team you have no idea what actually happened and neither does your source. So by all means continue to speculate

Heck I'd love to know but my level of curiosity doesn't rise to the level that I think I'm owed something.

Soccerchuck you bring up a ton of great questions but not one of them would be answered by posting on this board, or at least not at a level that I think anyone should take as gospel but ideally as the middle school gossip that most stuff is on msg boards.

In this particular situation, logic would indicate that there's probably something wrong with that particular team since it doesn't sound like LW is leaving either one of his other teams. However, if you truly are a consumer looking at joining one of his teams OR any team, the first place to start would probably be to email the coach and ask to attend one of his practices and then just ask him why he left and should it be something you should be worried about if you joined his team. Then while at practice talk to the parents on the team. That's what a smart consumer would do, what they would not do is come on this board looking for advice.

I think go rightly pointed out exactly why your plan doesn't work.

That makes pretty good sense wolf with the one exception of it really doesn't matter who the coach is, eventually that team will leave LP to pursue ECNL. So unless PB decides to buy a club that has access to ECNL in the next year then you can probably kiss the 04's goodbye no matter the coach. Heck the only chance to keep them at LP would be to have LW keep coaching them.

Wisdomteeth and I must know the same folks because that's the same story I've been hearing.

And I think this thread points out why you can't really go to this board as a resource as to what is going on either. At least if you go to the source you can at least get a feel for if they are telling you the truth or not.

Usually easier for a club to 'buy' a handful of key players, a team, or a coach/team rather than another club, particularly one with an ECNL 'asset'.

The first 3 happen every year.

Oh, I agree with you totally. No in-club ECNL option by U13/14 and those kids are gone regardless who they bring in to coach them. At least LW had demonstrated success, everything here on out is a lottery. He knew ntx soccer inside and out, they don't have that wisdom at the helm now.

Where do you people get this stuff..  Rolling Eyes

People, let me cut to the chase. There is two ways we can do this:

#1
I can ask you to join my team.  We will train hard, learn/teach new skills, tactics and improve overall soccer IQ's.
It will be slightly awkward at first, the fact that we met on txsoccer.net but once you realize I’m a classic stand up guy, you’ll soon relax in my company.
From then on things will go smoothly, frequently winning two, three, four or more games..
We will love and laugh and generally enjoying the fruits of hard work.
Eventually, I pluck up the courage and state we are the best team in academy for our age group.
We move forward into select, after paying 3K, the road gets bumpy….
Not long after we max out roster, things goes down hill, you let yourself go… A loss, a tie.. Ooohhh Nooo!!
Im working long hard hours, paying bills to keep up with this demand we call SELECT… then love leaves the relationship.
I start an affair, looking at other teams … In my stupidity and lying, its leads to you finding out…..
Divorce!!!! We part ways and we agree I can see the kids on the weekend during LH games.
The poor children then grow up with Coach/Parents that hate each other..

THAT’S NOT fair to the Kids!!!! .. which leads me to the next option ..

#2  We just assign a new coach!!  It’s a win win for everyone … Think of the kids…… Think of the kids.

There is an awful lot of negativity, towards this team. The kids don't deserve it.....Go probably does, but the adults are making the big deal here.

Good luck to the kids and new coach.

Not speaking to the elite parents or team in general...
Just Ole'99.

Just so you know.  The loss and tie happened when my dd was out sick.
Lmao...
The "Bizzaro" Go99 sounds identical.

I really haven't seen any attacks on the team...as a matter of fact the comments regarding RASE's loss and tie were te exact same when people thought LFS was on top and suffered a loss, or DTS, or TX Spirit, or DT Scott.

To think that people are looking for a way to attack RASE is just not the case for the vast majority.

Again, I realize that no one is owed an explanation but it can't come as a surprise that people are curious. When something as this magnitude happens to te most talked about team, coach and parents in the history of NTX '04 soccer, it's just a natural thing to be curious.

So please get off the "attack the team" line of thought...nothing that has been said about RASE is any different than what has been said about any of the other top teams.

I'm getting soft.  The board just isn't what it used to be with 10's dad gone and go99 not spouting off as much.

Why can't it be like the old days when Kix and Soccer Po Boy were always throwing jabs. Speaking of that, were has ole' pooh boy been lately?

And unless you have another kid or start frolicking around the 05's and younger games...this ride will really be over when only the top 10 teams are playing each other twice...that'll cut the parent population in half.
I think...

I wonder if we did an actual "poster affiliation" check in...how many would actually have an dog in all of these fights and how many just instigate?

So after this post...when you comment, your post must be preceded with the following introduction:
"This is Used2bkix aka KixR4Adults2 aka Just4Kix representing DT Rosales and I would like to express..."
And continue with the body of your post. If not, myself as a moderator will not honor your post and your entry will be deleted.
It'll be like NBC football player intro..."Yoos Tubi Kiks...Tha U..."
