Don't know and frankly don't care, but I think the assumption is that premier is now the feeder team to Elite or will be soon.  That seems to be what the other big clubs are doing.  So if premier picked up "2 big strong Players" if they are capable of playing for the top team, they will be sooner or later.  It is all about "ECNL" isn't it?

That's a pretty big assumption.

Elite is about the furthest from an "FC Dallas team" as you can be while still wearing an FC Dallas jersey.  They don't practice at the main facility, don't participate in pool practices with other FC Dallas teams, and ultimately, have no connection with FC Dallas Premier.

As a feeder? - your odds are no better or worse playing for FC Dallas Elite coming from FC Dallas Premier or any other select team (though I am sure that FC Dallas would tell you otherwise Rolling Eyes ).

I think that's a little over the top. I would think they would give preference to the premier kids if they wanted to tryout for elite. Same goes for ecnl, if your dd has been on one of their teams, wouldn't she get first crack at an ecnl slot?

Your dd must play for FC Dallas

This ECNL notion that lingers out there is comical.

Coaches trying to put the best team together whether its LHGCL, ECNL or NCAA really could not care less where the new player comes from. If the kid can play and is a good fit, they're in. Period.

So if some coach or club administrator is selling you something different, RUN.

I would think all the coaches at an ecnl club try to prepare the kids for ecnl or at least say they are.

How many left Premier for Elite this year?

According to Sparky - none.

So either -

(1) not a single player on Premier was better than a player on Elite
(2) Premier players were given the opportunity to move to a top 5 team, but declined to return to a team so that they could stay with a team that will likely struggle in D1, or
(3) no Premier players were given the opportunity to move to Elite

In general I agree with this. But if it comes down to a decision between to similar players with qualities he wants, I'd think he would choose the player (and parents) he knows vs someone he doesn't know (and potential whackjob parents).

You sure seem to know a lot about them, are you a disgruntled parent? Or are you on one of the other teams and just jealous because your kid isn't on one of those two teams?

That may be true.

But if he is coaching a team at a different location and never sees or has any interaction with other players / parents at the club . . .

At this stage the clubs have very little to do with which kids play on which teams. If a kid wants to tryout for another team inside a club it's really up to that coach if they want them or not, where they were playing previously doesn't matter.

How is the FCD coaching system set up? Do coaches who coach academy/early select take the teams all the way through ECNL or hand the team over to another coach. I would assume LW has already worked all this out with FCD. That team has been with him for a long time now.

You must not have heard of the reshuffling of players at Sting.

My understanding is there were plenty of players who didn't get the "choice" to remain on the team they played for last year.

I noticed that Hilton and AG switched teams (according to gotsoccer). Re-shuffling of coaches has happened several times with these two teams, but doesn't happen so much with the others. Curious as to why that is.

More than just a coaching switch - multiple players were shuffled from multiple teams.

True, that's why I included "good fit". By U13 its pretty common knowledge who the whack jobs are. Those that are left, anyway.

So, which D1 LH teams had the most and least turnover?  Word on the street is TX Spirit and Sting Chacon will be skeletons of the teams they were this past season.  Any others with significant changes?

Also HEARD that DTS had several leave, but GA always seems to rebound the last couple of years.

From what I've heard, Texans Red seems to have been the biggest beneficiary of the player re-shuffling. It'll be interesting to see what they do this season and PLD.

Sting Piper will be just fine with Piper coaching again. Wouldn't worry too much about them.

Tx Spirit, I have no clue.

DT Dynamo (Red) added a couple of Venezuelan players as WhySeauSerious posted earlier, still the same team as before. Same movement as everyone else.

GA is a smooth criminal... He should wear a white zoot suit and a fedora to games. Whatever he shed at the end of the season he replaced comfortably...except my DD of course. Pardon my proud parent moment... But with all that said, they are still where they left off at...top tier.

DN isn't Dynamo Sweet Feet...I was hoping someone would have asked who DN was so I could have responded... "DeeZ N&@$!! Got eeem!!"

I look for the teams with the most chemistry to be in control for the fall and the spring may bring a whole other ball game. We all play each other twice right?!

Who'd they pick up Morgan and Klingenberg? I bet there is a little fall off.

Maybe at first just as any team would that added new players. Gotta give them time to gel. But with Piper coaching they will be better off than before. He's a good coach. May not agree with his playing style but the man can coach.

@Serious damn if I didn't fall for that one too. Lol. Yes we all play each other twice. I'm thinking the spring season will be a better showing for most teams.

I think we only play once in the wacky league we play in next year unless in the 8-13 range and forced to do playoff.

Any insights into what changes actually materialized and which teams might be stronger / weaker as a result?  Given teams spots and signings have been happening, I am curious what the 'top 10' for LHGL D1 & D2 might look like given the changes.

I suspect you are holding back on us PPD. You posed the question, but you never provided any details. Let's hear your insight. How did Odyssey perform this offseason? Did your humble little team pick up any talent from other top teams?
