Yes and would have preferred to play Gold but they chose to have a 6 team division instead.

FWIW... NOKC supposedly asked for clarification last Tues and Weds and were given 1 answer(pools 2 and 3 combined for playoff seeding), and then a different answer on Sunday.  Also, Bracket  1 and 2 teams had a clear path to the playoffs with either 1st or 2nd place.  Why did bracket 3 only have a wildcard slot?  Kicks was 3-0 had most points, and had to play a Qtrfinal game due to being in bracket 3.  Per the grid, there was a 4 team bracket and a 6 team bracket, but Ray H and Jenny Young didn't see it that way on Sunday.  This situation also occurred in the Silver Bracket as Feet West was only team to win all 3(of 10 teams) in pool play(pool 3) yet had to play a qtr final game.  Personally I think RH is an idiot, but I think many know that.  It was our own fault for signing up for a tourney w RH as TD and w 4.5x8  foot goals.  Won't make that mistake again.[/quote]

I am wondering why more people aren't complaining about the teeny goals - 4.5 x 8.  Some of the U-9 and u-10 goalies were taller than the goals, which also makes for a better chance for them to get hurt if they hit their head on the goal.  US Soccer mandates clearly state maximum goal size for that age group to be 6.5 x 18.5 with the recommended size of 6.5 x 12.  To have a tournament where the goals are a lot smaller than what teams practice/play on in league is completely wrong.

I hope my post didn't sound like I had a problem with you playing in Silver. I was just pointing that out because of the previous poster mentioning there being D3 in that division as well, so that speaks to an even wider range of teams in one division.

DDs team did not play in PLD this year. However, I will say that in looking at the brackets I am not surprised that one bracket had the three highest ranked teams. LY the TD placed Sting Black, Solar Red, & Kicks in the same bracket. All three advanced but had to play each other again in the playoffs. The point is after that experience I concluded that figuring out the scheduling/advancing protocols for this tournament defies logic.

Congrats to DTS for winning the tournament! Well done to Solar B on making it to the finals!

Heard there was a lot of intensity on the fields AND sidelines....

FWIW, Silver A was seeded right. Three brackets each with two Lake Highlands DI teams (including us even though we are also in JDL), one DIII team, and one team from outside of Lake Highlands. Those 6 DI teams could have combined with Gold to create quarterfinals, but since they did not do it that way I can't complain with how the Silver A division was done.
