Week One Results Empty Week One Results

Post by Guest 29/08/16, 11:19 am

I am a little surprised at the results from week one. I had assumed there was going to be a few more lopsided (only four) matches with the schedule pairings (#1 vs #20, #2 vs #19, etc.). I guess the rankings didn't mean a heck of a lot. A few upsets and few ties are curious, and it is too soon to draw a lot of conclusions, but I would like to know how the Glotzbach and Byars game went down. Forget the CPP nonsense, I am just curious if the score was an accurate reflection of the play on the field. Was it back and forth or a single break away? If it was back and forth, Byars is going to be a tough match for most teams this season.

Byars brought in the "Reds" at qualifying and those top DD's are dual rostered on his team and Solar JDL moving forward. Of course they will be tough.

I don't know where you got that information but it is incorrect. Only 1 from Red is playing with them.

The game was back and forth but Byars did well. Horrible call at the end stole the win from Byars.

Byars controlled most of the game. Goal scored was a "Real" goal. Team is tough overall and getting better everytime they step on the field.

Did the '1' get the '1' for Byars?

Forgive me for not having the correct information. So I can update my records, how many Solar Reds played for Glotzbach?

She siingle-handedly marked every player on the other team even when she was on the bench. Give credit where credit is due.

Good to know. I don't care who showed up for Byars. They still managed to tie a very solid Texans team. Move on. Let's see if the four teams that blew out their opponents are for real. I expected it from Solar and DTS, but TSN and Dfeet put some big numbers on the board.

Yes the one red player scored but bad offsides call at the end cost Byars the winner that wasn't scored by the red player. Byars team played very well controlled most of the game. That teams getting better.

Bad refs are part of the game, every team has had their fair share of questionable calls, so an unneeded excuse. They must have done a great job to hold the Texan team to 1 goal. I take nothing from them, but let's be real, they wouldn't have scored without the Red player and would have lost. Would have only had a moral victory without the Red(losing 1-0). They obviously are getting better, so kudos to the girls and coach. Many hoped the academy days of never knowing who you are playing would be over and rosters set, but new format means it isn't. However, this is the world we live in, especially with Solar and many teams to move players around to help secure wins or in this case tie. One girl, a paying player, did have to sit while the Red player played, hope that parent is happy with the tie.

I guess predicting outcomes of games minus players is kinda like bad calls, "unneeded excuse". I guess people just need to come to the obvious conclusion Byars can't win anything without Red players as a certain few of you continue to try and point out. Lol. Geez give that team some credit they have gotten a lot better from the few times I saw them earlier in the year. Whether I like the way a club does things or not it is what it is and those girls seem to be developing so they must be doing something right. That's the whole point isn't it? Development?

Week 1 results didn't suprise me, except for one.

The level of competition in D1 is not what it use to be.

I think FBR will be more predictive of results than the seeding.

Shout out to D'Feeters on the tie against the #1 seed.

What happened with the DTS/Fever match? Was it really 11-0?

Per below signature, I'm not a team spokesperson.

Probably the biggest reason for the lopsided result is the fact that DTS has played 12 matches since QT.
