Word around the campfire at the Preston Trail cattle drive is that there may be a few 06 JDL teams qualifying for classic league this summer. If true, that will make for a very interesting D3 this year... #BlackstarUnitedFC

When they go ECNL, Sting will have an open bye to lure a team in with... nothing screams girls soccer in North Texas like clubs being reasonable. hahahaha

I think that next year sting will put a U13 team in ECNL, whatever team that may be, and right now they only have a few teams in the entire 06 age group with only 1 in LH and no current D1 or D2 teams.

Get over the word "Elite" for JDL. It was never meant to replace LH or to form a better league than LH. It is development league and a change in focus for coaches/parents/players to initiate them into ECNL. Every league (from professional to rec) has the typical bell curve of team competitiveness. There will always be teams at the top, middle, and bottom of the list. JDL serves a purpose just as LH, PPL, Primetime, etc. It's all about putting the kids into the proper position on the development bell curve and/or providing them an avenue to step up their level of competitiveness.

Oh don't fool yourself. It was definitely formed to replace LH. If to read the posts last year you would know. Coaches sold it well.

How does qualifying for LHlll benefit any U12 JDL team?  The majority of the players qualifying this year will be in ECNL or perhaps even DA next year.  

I think it only serves to benefit the club but curious to see what others think.

Until it is proven that LH is a 4th level pool of talent clubs still want byes.

Are you going by Youth Soccer Rankings?.....here are YSR by Texas Rankings not national......I could not find two teams on there.
