Ooops. Didn't see you. Haven't been over here in years and could not remember what I used to be. Sorry for the dupe. Daughter is a defender and I love me some good ole fashion clean sheets.
So, we are taking the word of someone who created a new account with the handle of a long time and frequent poster and claiming she/he had no idea that user name was in use and could not remember their user name? Try clicking on "forgot user name" next time...Please..at least make up a creative lie.
My DD has played for Charles since she was in third grade. NEVER, I repeat NEVER has he laid on hand on any player in anger and didn't do so on Sunday. We would never allow our DD to play for a coach who gets physical with their players. My husband would be in jail if he so much as laid a hand on our daughter and she would have left the team a long time ago. More importantly, our team manager sits on the bench every game, including this past weekend. Charles would never touch a player in anger, but if he did, she would be all over him like white on rice. She isn's a shy woman! Charles truly cares about his players and their futures. We have been blessed to have him as a coach.
You would do well to remember that the laws surrounding defamation of character apply to things posted on-line and any techie worth anything can easily track down your true identity. You are letting your jealousy of being on the losing end of the match Sunday cause you to make up lies that could effect people's/coach's livelihoods and the way they support their families. It's quite frankly pathetic. If you can't handle losing, stop competing.
AMEN! The fact that people are even implying inappropriate conduct by this coach is repulsive. As far as accountability - where is the accountability of people hiding behind fake names and making up lies such as this?? Should the Club or Coach step in and go after you??? At what point do you look in the mirror at yourself... Should you as a parent be banned from playing competitive soccer - should your actions affect your child's future - my thoughts are yes!

You are a piece of work. You call someone out for creating an ID a few days ago...and holy crap, your ID was just created two days ago. All in the name of defending a poor defenseless coach that is being victimized on the soccer board. If he can't handle the criticism, go coach rec soccer.

Thank you, I am a piece of work! Try to follow along; my point was not that her/his ID was new, it was that it was clearly an attempt to use the ID of a frequent poster to gain some credibility. At least I didn't try to use another person's ID and then act like "oh, I didn't see you were using that"! And aren't you a hypocrite. Defending the all new clean_sheets and then trying to call me out for defending a coach who did not touch a player in anger. Criticism is one thing, defamatory lies are another. I bet if he did pick up a rec team, they would beat your DD's next year in State Cup!

Funny - now that would be a good game I bet. I've heard just about everything on the soccer fields, but a coach handling one of his/her players? Never. Grado has been far too successful and has too much to lose to go around shoving his players. It doesn't add up to me and he isn't that type of person. He is animated on the sides, but not physical.

Crickets chirping from the new, less expensive clean_sheets. I believe the whole "Didn't see you. Haven't been over here in years and could not remember what I used to be. Sorry for the dupe. Daughter is a defender and I love me some good ole fashion clean sheets." is absolute rubbish! You should be ashamed of yourself. If you've got nothing of true value to add here then you should refrain from creating bogus user names and simply read without posting or replying.
After 15 years of being a soccer parent, I have seen a lot of crap coaches do in the name of shaping the players. I am really glad to hear this is likely a one off situation. This happened after LPO scored the goal off the corner to a header. The coach pulled the Solar player who allowed the LPO player to get position. I have other parents to corroborate this information. PM me if you want to chat further. My old name was shootscore or something like that. Again it has been years.
No ill will towards Grado. In my first post, I congratulated them on the win. The road to success is a long journey filled with ups and downs. This loss will teach our players more than any win could on how to play better next time around. Good luck Grado in N.C. Hope you represent our area well.
Not to beat a dead horse - but let's call a spade a spade.... Just to be clear...you are saying you witnessed Grado push a player down on the bench from the stadium seat you were in across the field? At the game we beat you 5-1... the same game that not only had 2 coaches and a manager on the sideline but also an extra official evaluating the referee's that sat right next to the bench? The game that we only had 2 subs? The field that also has covered benches? It may be time to invest in some glasses my friend...after 15 years of being in the competitive soccer world you are either jaded, blind or bitter...
either way you will not have to worry about it any further as this team is moving on...

Are you referring to the leading scorer from State or Regionals?brazos wrote:The leading scorer was listed on the Solar DA roster so that is why I asked that question.

No, there were 4 "key players" from Grado that didn't make the trip and several more who were injured.
Congrats to LPE! Good luck in Frisco

Are you saying three of Grado's 03s played in what U18/19 final? Maybe 03 ECNL players?Zizou wrote:Thee solar 03’s played in the U-18/19 final this could have given these players an opportunity to play in a ECNL National play-offs or a DA National play-offs. No. What he is saying, is that 3 of Solar's '03 super-studs were moved up from U15 or U16/U17 DA to play in the U18/U19 DA playoffs.
That potentially left openings on the U15 or U16/U17 Solar DA squads. He is suggesting that those openings may have been filled by Grado players, OR, they were filled by Solar ECNL players, which then would have opened up spots on the Solar ECNL roster and those spots may have been backfilled by Grado players.
DA Playoffs, ECNL Playoffs, and USYSA Southern Regionals were all taking place between June 21-June 29 in three different states (California, Washington, and North Carolina).

AF loses a group of girls each year and is still going strong. He must be doing something right.mixitup wrote:I think he lost at least his top three players (maybe 4) to ECNL. The team that won State is definitely not the team that went to regionals. Congrats to LPE. I'll be surprised if AF doesn't lose at least a few girls, too. He has some great players that need to move on. I think that train might be coming to a stop soon.

Yeah. I’m sure Solar is really upset that they played those ‘03’s up in U18/U19 and that at least 2 of them were recognized amongst the best players out there at the playoffs and are all over USSF’s radar for the YNT/WNT.
Pretty sure those kid's parents and the UT head coach were just as livid that those kids didn't play down on U15 to win a Natty instead of playing against some of the best U18/U19 players in the country.
