Finally the season has arrived and although we only have 1 game on the schedule it is of interest none the less.  

D’Feeters travels to Norman to play Celtic in what I am calling Week 0 of the season as this game got moved up along with Sting Black game vs TSC but subsequently heard the TSC game got moved to Spring.

10am kick at Griffin park in Norman with temps in the mid 80s, so the depth of the Feet roster (21) should prove to be a slight benefit vs Celtic (17) But the real difference maker is sure to be the upgrades they added in the off season.

Feet added a few new faces it appears and I suspect those additions along with the quality of the rest of theIt roster will make quick work of Celtic in this game and suspect it will be over early and finish with at least 6+ Goals to get this season rolling.  

For everyone else we will all be awaiting those score updates as we kick off this season with some real action.

I agree, D'feeters are really good. Considering I'm familiar with most 04 ECNL teams I will give this a crack.
1. Albion Hurricanes - Overall best team. Balanced between star and role players and quality depth. Everyone has a role and play to expectations.
2. DKSC- Surprise pick. They are a team with strong chemistry and been playing for a while together. Really good players in a lot of positions. Ready to make some noise
3. FCD- Strong defense and goalie play. Top notch forward with quality midfielders. May need a little more help on top. Heard they picked up some quality up top but need to prove. Saw them a couple of weekends ago and didn't disappoint defensively.
4. Solar-They have enough quality to beat any team in this list but too many stars and not enough worker bees will be their downfall over the long run.
5. Sting Dallas Black- Strong team that could probably be ranked higher. Quality players in all positions but not sure if that will be enough to crack the top 3.

It’s basically the same team that only lost to Real Colorado in DA last year but ok.

Heard '04 Albion ECNL tied '04 Lonestar GAL 1-1 this weekend in a friendly in College Station.  Thought this to be surprising considering Lonestar lost a couple of their stronger players in the off season and Albion is being so highly touted.

Even more interesting... Challenge 04 ECNL also beat LS GAL 2-0. I think C is improved and LS is obviously not what they were due to exodus to AS.

What I have heard about Albion I would have expected a different result. A victory maybe. Let’s blame it on the heat then.

Ummm ... Unless you had kids playing in both '04 circuits last year (and that'd make you one unique individual), you're really reachin' here ^ peeps -- No chance you're that familiar with both teams.  

Sounds like you're more of an ECNL dude so I'll fill ya in -- Since inception of GDA ...

Texas ECNL ... weaksauce
Frontier GDA ... arguably the best conference in the country

You hit the nail on it. Albion is hype and nothing more. They will be lucky if they win 2 games in Dallas
